When life interrupts everything | Letting go & experience | Ariyeh Ginsberg Pt.2

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven VC Podcast, I welcomed back Ariyeh Ginsberg for Part 2 of our conversation, following a moment in Part 1 where he had to abruptly leave to take shelter as rockets were being heard near Tel Aviv. We continued to chat about what it really means to accept that we are not in control, not as a weakness, instead as a release. So much of the pressure we carry comes from trying to predict, protect and manage outcomes that are never guaranteed and yet, when you let go of that, you create space to actually think, respond and move with more clarity. What stood out was how simply Ariyeh sees the world. From observing whether a business is truly creating value, to recognising that often the most powerful insights are right in front of us. Not everything needs to be overcomplicated, sometimes it is as clear as asking: does this make sense, does it serve people, is it real? We also went deeper into safety and how people behave differently when they feel safe, whether that is in a country, a team or a business. When safety is present, people contribute, create and move forward. When it is not, they protect, withdraw and hold back and leadership plays a direct role in shaping that environment. There was also a powerful reflection on treating your business like family, in a way that brings honesty, responsibility and care into how decisions are made. Founders who overstate, overpromise or avoid truth create fragility, those who lead with clarity and transparency create antifragility, resulting in strength. It all came back to something simple; you are not flying the plane, so how do you want to experience the journey? The Shape Shift in motion At the heart of this conversation was a shift from control and complexity, to simplicity, safety and intentional experience. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology: LEARN (Letting go) ✨ We do not control outcomes, only how we respond ✨ Fear often comes from what we imagine, not what is real ✨ People behave differently depending on how safe they feel UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape) ✨ Unlearn the need to control every outcome ✨ Reimagine leadership as creating safety, not pressure ✨ Reshape complexity by returning to what is simple and true RELEARN (Test & implement) ✨ Observe what is actually happening, not what you assume ✨ Treat your business with the same honesty as family ✨ Move when aligned, pause when you are not ACTIVE RECOVERY (Reflect & reset) ✨ Where are you trying to control what you cannot? ✨ What would change if you simplified your thinking? ✨ How are you creating safety for others through your leadership? 2. Being Present in Uncertainty | Leadership, War & Antifragility | Ariyeh Ginsberg Pt.1

Being Present in Uncertainty | Leadership, War & Antifragility | Ariyeh Ginsberg Pt.1

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven VC Podcast, I started to chat with Ariyeh Ginsberg to explore life, leadership, business and investing from the inside out. Ariyeh joined me from Israel, near Tel Aviv, while rockets were actively being heard in the distance. What stayed with me immediately was his reflection on presence. Even in the middle of war, people were still going to parks, still moving, still choosing life in the only moment they could actually control. And then, part way through our conversation, Ariyeh had to leave for a bomb shelter. That moment brought the whole episode into the very moment. We can talk about presence, becoming antifragile and control, and yet sometimes life asks us to live it in real time. For me, this was about what it truly means to stay present when the world is uncertain, and how leadership begins with the way we relate to ourselves. Ariyeh spoke about meditation not as something complicated or performative, instead as a way to give yourself a break in time and space. A walk, breath, thought, anything that brings you calm. This very moment is where you stop projecting fear into the future and come back to what is here. We also spoke about rejection, self-awareness, safe communication and the importance of not forcing yourself into someone else’s version of success. His analogy of the mouse and the ant - a mouse is best as a mouse, an ant is best as an ant. So much energy is wasted trying to become what we are not, instead of being true to ones soul. The Shape Shift in motion At the heart of this conversation was a shift from fear, control and future-casting, to presence, self-awareness and the courage to meet life as it is. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology: LEARN (Letting go) ✨ We cannot control what happens next, only how present we are in this moment. ✨ Trying to become someone else wastes the energy we need to become ourselves. ✨ Stress narrows the mind, while presence creates space for new ideas to come through. UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape) ✨ Unlearn the idea that meditation has to look a certain way to be powerful. ✨ Reimagine rejection as redirection, not proof that you are not enough. ✨ Reshape leadership through safer communication, where truth can be spoken without shame. RELEARN (Test & implement) ✨ Build small practices that bring you back into your body and the present moment. ✨ Reflect on what you achieved this week, not only what is still missing. ✨ Create relationships and teams where people can be honest about what helps them perform at their best. ACTIVE RECOVERY (Reflect & reset) ✨ Where are you living too far in the future instead of returning to what is here now? ✨ What rejection might actually be protecting you from something misaligned? ✨ What would shift if presence became your first leadership practice? Impact Takes Time | Building a 100B Litre Water Mission with AI | Grégoire de Hemptinne

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I chatted with Grégoire de Hemptinne to explore life, leadership and business from the inside out, and this conversation brought a powerful reminder that real impact is built slowly, not instantly. Grégoire is the Co-founder & CEO of Shayp, an AI-powered water efficiency company helping large buildings detect leaks, reduce waste and rethink how we use one of the most critical resources on the planet. What stood out for me wasn’t just the technology, it was the mindset behind it. We spoke about what it actually takes to build an impact-led business in a world where water has historically been undervalued - I will never think about water the same way... From saving their first billion litres to now tracking over 30 billion litres saved, and working towards 100 billion by 2030, this is a story of patience, perseverance and long-term strategic thinking. What became clear is that building something meaningful is rarely linear. It is shaped through constant iteration, market resistance, unexpected pivots and moments of doubt. Grégoire shared how the journey has been less about building a perfect product, and more about building an interconnected ecosystem where customers, partners and communities all play a key role. We also explored the intersection of AI, infrastructure and climate, and how Shayp is now working with data centres, cities and public institutions to not only reduce water waste, and reconnect large organisations with the communities and resources they depend on for a thriving future. The Shape Shift in motion At the heart of this conversation was a shift from short-term thinking to long-term impact, and from building products to building ecosystems. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology: LEARN (Letting go) ✨ Impact does not happen overnight, it compounds over time ✨ Building a great product alone is not enough ✨ Markets do not always move as fast as your ambition UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape) ✨ Unlearn the idea that scale is instant, it is earned ✨ Reimagine business as an interconnected ecosystem ✨ Reshape how you approach growth through iteration and feedback RELEARN (Test & implement) ✨ Stay open, curious and willing to pivot ✨ Build relationships, not just products ✨ Take one step forward each day rather than chasing the end goal ACTIVE RECOVERY (Reflect & reset) ✨ Are you trying to move too fast instead of building sustainably? ✨ Where do you need to zoom out and see the bigger picture? ✨ What small step can you take today that builds long-term impact? Filling the Hope Gap | AI, Possibility & the Future of Leadership | Menaka Gopinath

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I chatted with Menaka Gopinath to explore life, leadership and business from the inside out, and this conversation reframed what leadership looks like when systems, technology and humanity are all shifting at once. What stood out immediately was Menaka’s grounding in community and systems thinking. There is a consistent thread: progress has always been built through people coming together to solve complex problems. We spoke about AI not as a threat, but as a mirror. It is not removing the need for humans, it is raising the bar on thinking. The real shift is from execution to orchestration, from having answers to asking better questions, and from control to coordination. Menaka shared a deeply personal story about her son, and the moment a diagnosis was reframed through possibility rather than limitation. That shift, from asking what cannot happen to wondering what might be possible, is something she now carries into leadership, systems and the future of work, filling the hope gap. What grounded this conversation was the responsibility of leadership in this moment. Not to ignore uncertainty or disruption, instead to integrate it it with perspective and possibility, and to consciously create space for both. The Shape Shift in motion At the heart of this conversation was a shift from limitation-led thinking to possibility-led leadership, and from reacting to change to expanding perspective. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology: LEARN (Letting go) ✨ Uncertainty is now part of leadership, not something to eliminate ✨ AI is changing work, but not removing the need for human thinking ✨ Many leaders still default to limitation when facing complexity UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape) ✨ Unlearn the idea that AI replaces humans, it elevates better thinking ✨ Reimagine leadership as orchestration, not control ✨ Reshape how you see challenges by asking what might be possible RELEARN (Test & implement) ✨ Ask better questions, curiosity is now a core leadership capability ✨ Expand your perspective through people, systems and experiences ✨ Build environments where possibility and realism can coexist ACTIVE RECOVERY (Reflect & reset) ✨ Where are you focusing on limitation instead of possibility? ✨ What perspective shift could open a new way forward? ✨ How are you contributing to filling the hope gap? Cash anxiety to cash clarity | Financial clarity & Business fitness | Mark Liner

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I sat down with Mark Liner to explore life, leadership and business from the inside out, and this conversation was such an important reminder that financial clarity is not just about numbers on a page. It is about building a business that can breathe, adapt and make better decisions under pressure. Mark is a Fractional CFO, and what stayed with me most was how simply and powerfully he framed what so many founders quietly carry: cash anxiety and profit anxiety. That constant underlying stress of wondering whether there will be enough, whether the business is really making money, and whether the next decision is going to move things forward or tip everything sideways. So many businesses still operate reactively, putting out spot fires each month, hoping revenue will solve deeper structural issues, or chasing growth without really understanding profitability. Mark spoke about the need for clean systems, a living fluid forecast, strong cadence and financial discipline that can evolve as the business evolves. I loved Mark’s idea of business fitness, just like physical fitness gives you more resilience and energy when life throws something unexpected your way, financial fitness gives a business more room to respond, recover and pivot when the environment shifts. The Shape Shift in motion At the heart of this conversation was a shift from reactive financial firefighting, to clearer systems, stronger forecasting and more sustainable business fitness. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology: LEARN (Letting go) ✨ Cash anxiety and profit anxiety are real, and many founders carry them silently. ✨ Revenue alone does not mean a business is healthy. Profitability and cash flow still tell the truth. ✨ A forecast is never perfectly right, but without one you are flying blind. UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape) ✨ Unlearn the idea that financial clarity is just about compliance and reporting. ✨ Reimagine finance as a strategic operating system for better decisions. ✨ Reshape your view of success so growth is matched with structure, discipline and room to pivot. RELEARN (Test & implement) ✨ Build a living, breathing forecast that gets updated as reality changes. ✨ Create a regular finance cadence so decisions are made from visibility, not stress. ✨ Strengthen your business fitness so you can respond to change without going straight into crisis mode. Money Blocks, Human Design & Aligned Success | Michelle Pecak

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I sat down with Michelle Pecak to explore life, leadership and business from the inside out, and this one was such a vibe. What opened up here was a much deeper conversation about self-awareness, alignment, money, collaboration and what happens when success stops being performative and starts becoming something that actually fits who you are. Human design helped Michelle see that the very things that made her exceptional in business, bringing people together, seeing around corners, building systems and teaching others, were the same gifts she was now being called to monetise more consciously and joyfully.  What stayed with me most was Michelle’s honesty about giving away her power by trying to lead like the men around her instead of trusting her own design. That opened into a much bigger conversation around money blocks, waiting for the right invitation, the difference between forcing and flowing, and the reality that we are all still trying to live authentically inside systems that are not fully built for that yet. Her point was not to sit still and hope life arrives, it was to understand your own strategy well enough that you stop performing success and start embodying it. The Shape Shift in motion At the heart of this conversation was a shift from borrowed leadership models and performative success, to a more soulful, conscious, self-aware and aligned way of leading, earning and building. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology: LEARN (Letting go) ✨ Self-awareness changes success because it shows you what is truly yours and what is conditioning. ✨ Many people are succeeding in roles that do not actually match their deeper design. ✨ Money blocks often appear when we are forcing, over-efforting or trying to win in ways that are not ours. UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape) ✨ Unlearn the idea that leadership has to look loud, linear or traditionally masculine to be powerful. ✨ Reimagine human design as practical self-awareness, not something to hide away from business. ✨ Reshape success around impact, joy, collaboration and energetic alignment, not just external status. RELEARN (Test & implement) ✨ Learn your own strategy well enough to stop giving your power away. ✨ Build visibility, partnerships and opportunities in ways that actually match your design. ✨ Use self-awareness to strengthen communication, conflict resolution and team dynamics. The future of startup valuation: Risk & return, not hype | Daniel Faloppa

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO VC Podcast, I sat down with Daniel Faloppa to explore life, leadership, business and investing from the inside out, and what became clear in this conversation was that valuation is not just a finance exercise. It is a way of seeing what a company could become, and the probability of it getting there. Daniel’s journey itself speaks to that tension between possibility and reality. From coding at 12 in a tiny village in the Italian Alps, to founding Equidam in 2012 on the belief that startups should be valued, not priced, his work has always been about bringing more structure, clarity and method into spaces too often driven by mystery, leverage and hype. That felt especially relevant in the world we are in now, where founders are still being sold all-costs growth, mega rounds and rocket-ship narratives, while the actual questions of risk, sustainability and aligned incentives can get lost underneath the noise. I loved Daniel’s framing that valuation is always a relationship between risk and return. That sounds simple, yet it changes everything. It changes how founders hear investor feedback, shape strategy, think about raising capital, and decide what kind of business they are actually building. The Shape Shift in motion At the heart of this conversation was a shift from hype, opacity and all-costs growth, to a more grounded understanding of valuation, entrepreneurship and long horizon business building. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology: LEARN (Letting go) ✨ Valuation is not only about upside. It is always a relationship between risk and return. ✨ Raising more capital does not always reduce risk. Sometimes it raises expectations beyond what the business can healthily sustain. ✨ A lot of founders and investors still understand finance only superficially, which creates avoidable blind spots. UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape) ✨ Unlearn the idea that the startup path is the only valid path to building something meaningful. ✨ Reimagine valuation as strategic clarity, not just negotiation leverage. ✨ Reshape venture thinking beyond narrow SaaS assumptions and into a wider view of where value is now being created. RELEARN (Test & implement) ✨ Learn to hear investor feedback through the lens of risk and return, not ego. ✨ Build a business model that matches your real goals, not just the market’s loudest expectations. ✨ Show the work you have already done, because what feels small to you may be a major de-risking signal to an investor. ACTIVE RECOVERY (Reflect & reset) ✨ Are you building the right business for your actual life, or the one the market keeps rewarding you for performing? ✨ Where might raising more actually be increasing pressure, rather than reducing risk? ✨ What would shift if you valued your company through clarity, not hype? The Cofounder Effect: Conflict isn’t the problem, avoidance is | with Dr. Matt Jones

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I sat down with Dr. Matt Jones to explore life, leadership and business from the inside out, and what really happens when the relationship at the centre of a startup begins to silently fracture. Matt is not looking at cofounder tension as a side issue to smooth over later. He is looking at it for what it often is: one of the deepest leverage points in the entire business ecosystem. Matt shared how this work began after watching two close friends build a multimillion-dollar company externally while their partnership was quietly struggling underneath the surface. That experience led him to a truth that feels especially important in the world we are in now: conflict is not the real problem, avoidance is. So many founders keep trying to solve the external issue, whilst emotional debt compounds in the background. That landed for me because it is such a clear reminder that cofounders do not just build the company, they become the emotional architecture of it. Matt also brought a deeper lens to healthy communication through operational language, psychological language and archetypal language. or what we might simply call the unspoken vibe in the room. The Shape Shift in motion At the heart of this conversation was a shift from trying to solve cofounder tension only through business mechanics, to addressing the deeper relational and psychological dynamics shaping the company from within. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology: LEARN (Letting go) ✨ Conflict is not always the real issue. Avoidance often is. ✨ Emotional debt compounds quietly until it starts affecting trust, execution and culture. ✨ Cofounders are not separate from the business. They are the floor and ceiling of it. UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape) ✨ Unlearn the idea that roles, titles and org charts alone will solve deeper misalignment. ✨ Reimagine cofounder tension as a source of insight, not just disruption. ✨ Reshape communication so it moves beyond operational language and into the emotional dynamics underneath. RELEARN (Test & implement) ✨ Build the courage to have the conversation beneath the conversation. ✨ Use conflict more productively by naming what is real and creating accountability. ✨ Invest in the relationship early, because healthy dynamics positively compound just as dysfunction does.
