In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven VC Podcast, I welcomed back Ariyeh Ginsberg for Part 2 of our conversation, following a moment in Part 1 where he had to abruptly leave to take shelter as rockets were being heard near Tel Aviv. We continued to chat about what it really means to accept that we are not in control, not as a weakness, instead as a release. So much of the pressure we carry comes from trying to predict, protect and manage outcomes that are never guaranteed and yet, when you let go of that, you create space to actually think, respond and move with more clarity. What stood out was how simply Ariyeh sees the world. From observing whether a business is truly creating value, to recognising that often the most powerful insights are right in front of us. Not everything needs to be overcomplicated, sometimes it is as clear as asking: does this make sense, does it serve people, is it real? We also went deeper into safety and how people behave differently when they feel safe, whether that is in a country, a team or a business. When safety is present, people contribute, create and move forward. When it is not, they protect, withdraw and hold back and leadership plays a direct role in shaping that environment. There was also a powerful reflection on treating your business like family, in a way that brings honesty, responsibility and care into how decisions are made. Founders who overstate, overpromise or avoid truth create fragility, those who lead with clarity and transparency create antifragility, resulting in strength. It all came back to something simple; you are not flying the plane, so how do you want to experience the journey? The Shape Shift in motion At the heart of this conversation was a shift from control and complexity, to simplicity, safety and intentional experience. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology: LEARN (Letting go) ✨ We do not control outcomes, only how we respond ✨ Fear often comes from what we imagine, not what is real ✨ People behave differently depending on how safe they feel UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape) ✨ Unlearn the need to control every outcome ✨ Reimagine leadership as creating safety, not pressure ✨ Reshape complexity by returning to what is simple and true RELEARN (Test & implement) ✨ Observe what is actually happening, not what you assume ✨ Treat your business with the same honesty as family ✨ Move when aligned, pause when you are not ACTIVE RECOVERY (Reflect & reset) ✨ Where are you trying to control what you cannot? ✨ What would change if you simplified your thinking? ✨ How are you creating safety for others through your leadership?
