This Is SO Important!!
Jul 24
The accounts of all the BJU survivors are heartbreaking! It’s unthinkable that in the 20th and 21st Centuries, this indoctrination, coercion, abuse and gaslighting was allowed, and is still allowed, to continue! I’m currently listening to the episode with Leah Worley and I just want to say that this poor woman STILL sounds like she hasn’t fully rid herself of the victim-blaming mentality this so-called “University” placed on her! Phrases like “I allowed this to happen to me” and “I was just a stupid kid…” I wish I could reassure her, and everyone else who has endured what she did: YOU DID NOT ALLOW THIS! This was done TO you and BJU needs to, not only be held accountable, but should be permanently closed for what they’ve done! Thank you, Andrew and everyone else who came forward and told their stories!
A Must-Listen
Jun 9
As a former student of BJU (and an RA for two years), and having grown up in the IFB church, this podcast does an AMAZING job of addressing so many issues that plagued the school (and still does to this day). An essential listen for those curious about the school, its teachings, or survivors who know their story can be heard. And to the one star reviewers . . . How’s life still treating you in Greenville? 😉
Healing within a community
Jun 5
I spent all my formative years within an IFB environment. I am now 26, and I have spent years coming to terms with my childhood and deconstructing the trauma I have experienced. Although I didn’t attend BJU specifically, the school I went to was very much the same. We even got all our textbooks from BJU press. Listening to this podcast gave me such a comfort in knowing that there’s a whole community out there, working to heal just like I am. Thank you, Andrew!
Long Overdue

I went spent 6 yrs at BJU (4 high school and 2 college) and the subject matter in this podcast has been long overdue. Fantastic. Keep up the good work.
