In this episode of the Bible in a year we move from the book of Acts to look at some of the Epistles that were written during this time. Once again this is where the chronological version takes on a different approach and these epistles are included within the timeline of the overall book of Acts. We read through the book of James, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, and also begin into 1 Corinthians.

Recap at the end of week 46

In this recap at the end of week 46 we look forward to the book of the 'Acts of the Apostles' and see what this book will teach us, but we also think about the central theme, and climatic point of the whole Bible - the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. So much has happened these last two weeks but this event changes everything for everyone.

Bible in a year week 46

In this episode of the audio Bible in a year we finish the Gospel accounts of Jesus of Nazareth concerning His life, death and resurrection. We then continue into the book of Acts which is really the 'Acts of the Apostles' as they continue the message of how Jesus transformed their lives. Bible in a year week 45

In this episode of the audio Bible in a year, we continue through the latter stages of the Gospels, hearing about the final events in the life of Jesus. These include his final preparations for His Disciples and the events leading to the central event in the whole of the Bible - Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection. Again the four different Gospels will look at different aspects and central themes leading up to this, but all include this horrendous yet victorious event.

The best!

This has been the best addition to my 2021! I’ve always wanted to read the entirety of the Bible, but doing it in a year especially always felt daunting. This has been perfect for me! I love how real and unpolished it is, with humor intermixed. And the recaps really bring it together for me as I often forget what we’ve read and to bring context in. It’s been perfect to listen to as I’m doing work around the house or driving around!

I'm proud to proclaim that I went through 123 episodes in about three weeks and I'm all caught up--never feling bored with the possible exceptio of Chronicles! I happen to be a blind Jewish guy and cannot imaging a better overview of the Old and New Testamant than thee one that Father Michel has provided so far. Thank you for usch a wonderful resource!

Thank you

I tend to read the Bible how I clean my house; a little bit here and a distraction there, picking it up entirely to inconsistently. I found this podcast on Election Day and decided to catch up. I’ve been listening while I clean my house and go about my day. I’ve enjoyed being able to listen uninterrupted for hour to hour and a half increments. I completed the year yesterday. Thank you for your dedication I have really enjoyed my “fly by” view of the Bible.
