Someone has been mean to her daughter, and apparently the appropriate parenting response is "How did that make you feel?" instead of saying everything that immediately comes to mind. 🍬 What starts with a deliberately cruel candy encounter brings up a pattern of exclusion, an upsetting comment about her daughter's body, and Julie's struggle to figure out where compassion ends and drawing a firm boundary begins. Along the way, she admits her own kid isn't perfect, questions whether she and her husband need more sanitized "parenting personalities," and takes a detour into parents who casually mention their second property but never ask you a single question back.  It's an honest, sweary episode about protective parent rage, childhood mean behaviour, and trying to help your kid without letting your own anger take over.
