Every week, we present a fast and fun trivia game where general knowledge is taste-tested from a specific topic...or specific knowledge on a general topic. Either way, the delicious bits of trivia minutiae will be served up, piping hot!
This week, we celebrate the addition of the littlest Ladler Felix with a quiz all about babies!
Episode 287-Cult Classics
This quiz comes all the way from Australia, courtesy of Nicole! This week, we ask the simple question: do you Ladlers like movies? Of course you do. How about those weird, off kilter, guilty pleasure flicks? It's all about cult classics!
Episode 286-A Day at the Races!
This week, we present a quiz all about races. Automobile, boat, plane, train, and the one to start it all, foot! All will be covered in the unique BLTP style you all know and love!
Episode 285-Game 7 of the Hai Karate Tournament
The tournament wraps up this week with a delicious quiz about chocolate!
Episode 284-Game 6 of the Hai Karate! Tournament
The tournament marches on, and in honor of Halloween, the wonderful Bettina has conjured a quiz straight from the grave! The theme is Ghostbusters, but not the movie. Each category relates the the Ray Parker Jr classic. So get ready for a spooky time with your favorite boys and ghouls!
Episode 283-Game 5 of the Hai Karate Tournament
The tourney continues with a quiz about punctuation! The salt you sprinkle into every sentence, changing a "Yes?" to a "YES!!" The tiny lines and dots that convey so much meaning and provide much-needed clarity. How much do you know about these little guys? More importantly, how much do we know? Tune in and find out!
Best Trivia Pod
First, you have to know that Andy is John Goodman. Don’t try to tell me any different, Brain Ladle!
Second, this is the best trivia pod you’re going to find. The permanent guests - Kels, Andy (nee, John Goodman) and Davos - are both clever (think smart) and funny. I find myself in stitches, laughing histerically, as I hike, listening to Davos rip off a string of semi-profanity, Andy waxing on about how he forgot the question and Kels trying to explain away how he knows more about Dukes of Hazzard than every Cletus in Athens, GA.
The questions run the gamut and are not custom-crafted to make the guests look brilliant - quite the opposite. Neil is the regular host - the sensei - but fill-ins like Twy and Bettina are equally entertaining.
Looking for great trivia? Go no farther. Looking for John Goodman? Same.
My favorite trivia podcast for 2 main reasons: (1.) the contestants are smart and funny and (2.) the format is perfect. Not too much chatter before getting to the game, and Neil gives the correct answer after every question, unlike other podcasts that give the correct answers in bulk at the end of a category. Easier to keep track of this way since I’m not sitting listening with a piece of paper like I’m at the pub.
My favourite trivia podcast
I love it when Twy is on. She is amazing. The 80’s sitcom episode had me crying from laughing so much. Kel’s Randy Newman inpersonation is just amazing and hilarious. I love this trivia podcast.
