Ep.118 - Sewer Shark with Carlos Orlando

You know the last thing I want to see in the sewers, a shark! Thankfully this game has nothing to do with real sharks. This week Conner is joined by great comedian and Sega CD stan Carlos Orlando to discuss Sewer Shark (1992) for the Sega CD. Carlos chats about saving up money with his younger brother to buy video game consoles, shares that he is convinced this game inspired the Wachowski's to make The Matrix, and how the acting in this FMV game was rad.

A Nostalgic, Feel-Good Time

I’ve listened to a bunch of gaming podcasts for years, and before I found this one, I always wished I could find a gaming podcast that had more personal and in-depth discussions about games I love. Finding “Call Me By Your Game” perfectly fulfilled that wish. Conner is a great, welcoming host who just seems like such a sweet, down-to-earth guy. I’d be happy listening to him talk about pretty much anything, but pair him with discussions about games (especially Zelda ones), and you have an undeniably solid podcast. Hope to keep listening to episodes for years to come!

Wonderful show

I listened to the episode discussing Cities Skylines and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of great information presented clearly without the needless silly giggling that plagues so many other podcasts. Keep up the good work!

I love this!

Love the earnest nostalgia of this show! Conner is an amazing host and creates such a warm environment, but infuses it with humor and charm. It reminds me of all the games I used to love and inspires me to play them again!
