    Officials in Florida say they plan to be the first state to eliminate vaccine mandates for kids. The move could end vaccination requirements for shots like measles, chicken pox, polio and Hepatitis B. CBS News' Skyler Henry reports. A cluster of more than a dozen wildfires is forcing people from their homes in parts of Calaveras and Tuolumne counties in California. Officials say the new wildfires were sparked by lightning. You'll have another chance to grab a winning ticket after no one won Wednesday's Powerball drawing, which was the 4th largest jackpot in Powerball history. The jackpot, which hasn't been won since May, is now up to $1.7 billion, the third largest prize in history. Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce said "I still get giddy" while talking about his engagement to superstar Taylor Swift on his New Heights podcast. The two dated for two years before getting engaged last month. While the NFL season kicks off on Thursday, off the field legal sports betting is heading for another record-breaking year. DraftKings CEO and co-founder Jason Robins talks about betting trends and its growth. Emmy-nominated actor Gwendoline Christie joins "CBS Mornings" to talk about season two of the hit series "Wednesday," based on the iconic Adams' family character.     What Newly Released Epstein Files Reveal | Preparing For The Next Pandemic

    President Trump said he plans to mobilize the National Guard to curb violence in Chicago, saying, "Well, we're going in. I didn't say when we're going in." He also made a direct appeal to the state's governor. The Chicago mayor's office says overall violent crime is down nearly 22% this year. China's Xi Jinping welcomed Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korea's Kim Jong Un, along with other world leaders, for a huge military parade showing off new technology. It was meant to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, but also carried a broader message of unity among the U.S. adversaries. A House committee released thousands of pages of DOJ documents related to Jeffrey Epstein Tuesday night. A CBS News review shows a lot of the material was already public. However, it does include previously unseen security camera video of Epstein's jail cell on the night he died and some of Epstein's flight logs. CBS News' Nikole Killion reports. CBS News' Scott MacFarlane breaks down what to know about the more than 33,000 pages related to Jeffrey Epstein released by a House panel and what it means for the Trump administration, which has faced increasing pressure over the documents. In California on Tuesday, a jury took less than an hour to clear Cardi B of assault allegations made in a $24 million civil lawsuit. A security guard claimed the rap star attacked her in 2018. McDonald's announced it is bringing back "Extra Value Meals" starting Sept. 8 in an effort to attract budget-conscious customers. CBS News' Jo Ling Kent reports on what to expect. A new report by the American Cancer Society found rates of prostate cancer increased 3% a year from 2014 to 2021. The steepest increase was for advanced stage diagnoses. An Air Canada flight returned to Denver and passengers evacuated due to a possible electrical fire on board. CBS News' Kris Van Cleave reports. Following an annual summit, President Xi of China has invited many world leaders to celebrate the anniversary of the World War Two victory and observe a military parade. Russia's Vladmir Putin and North Korea's Kim Jong Un, who rarely leaves his country, are expected to join the event. CBS News national security contributor Sam Vinograd breaks down the annual Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in China, which more than 20 world leaders attended, including Russia and India, and what it means for the U.S. on the global stage. Police in Houston are investigating the shooting death of an 11-year-old boy after he was shot and killed Saturday night while pranking a home by playing "ding dong ditch." Witnesses say a group of kids had been pranking homes by ringing doorbells and running away, when someone allegedly came out of a home and started shooting at the group. CBS News' Karen Hua reports. Bill Belichick made his college coaching debut Monday for the North Carolina Tar Heels, and the team was blown out by TCU, 48-14. Belichick, who led the New England Patriots to six Super Bowl championships, is guaranteed $10 million per year for three years. An Arkansas jury recently found car insurance giant State Farm shortchanged drivers with "totaled" cars, and similar lawsuits across the country could put money back into consumers' pockets. State Farm is fighting the lawsuits, telling CBS News that the company "always seeks to pay what we owe within the terms of the policy to help our customers recover from a loss." CBS News consumer correspondent Ash-har Quraishi has the details. Award-winning actor, producer and writer Issa Rae speaks to "CBS Mornings" about a new documentary called "Seen and Heard: This History of Black Television."     9-Year-Old Survivor of Minneapolis Shooting Speaks | Stars of "My Life with the Walter Boys" Get Personal

    Two children, ages 8 and 10, were killed in a school shooting at Annunciation Church in Minneapolis. The Minneapolis police chief says the 17 people injured in the shooting are expected to survive. The FBI is investigating the shooting as an act of terrorism and a hate crime targeting Catholics. Warning, this video is difficult to watch. Minneapolis police say Robin Westman, the alleged Minneapolis Catholic school shooter, used three guns, which were legally obtained, in the attack on Wednesday. CBS News' Scott MacFarlane reports. June Holine, 9, was inside Annunciation Church in Minneapolis when the shooting that killed two of the Catholic school's students and injured 17 others happened. She described the terrifying moment when she heard the gunshots. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey joins "CBS Mornings" to talk about the deadly shooting at a local Catholic school that killed two children and injured 17 other people. New and faster Amtrak Acela trains are now in service. The new Acelas will be rolled out through 2027 as part of a $2.4 billion modernization effort. CBS News senior transportation correspondent Kris Van Cleave reports. Thursday marks 62 years since Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous "I have a Dream" speech, calling for justice and equality. The WNBA team named after that speech – the Atlanta Dream – is launching a program to carry on the legacy of Dr. King's work. The team is working with partners to eliminate $10 million in debt for 3,500 recipients in Atlanta.
