S3 Episode 10 - "Mine to Kill": The Great Amherst Mystery

In tonight's continuation of our spooky season celebration, we cover one of North America's most well documented and least debunked hauntings, The Great Amherst Mystery. In the Winter of 1878, in the quite town of Amherst, Nova Scotia, terror didn't come screaming down from the sky or clawing it's way out of the grave. It settled instead inside a modest wooden cottage on Princess Street- unseen, uninvited, and relentless. What happened inside the Teed family home would become one of the most disturbing and well-documented hauntings in history. A case that would defy skeptics, fracture a community, and a leave a young woman at the center of something so violent it would be studied for over a century. Her name, Esther Cox- a shy, ordinary girl by every measure- until the night something inhuman seemed to decide she belonged to it, and it laid claim over her very soul. Unlike most ghost stories, this one did not fade with time. It erupted. Witnesses included doctors, clergymen, scholars, and townspeople. Affidavits were signed. Newspaper reporters traveled from all over Canada to document the phenomenon. And in a curious twist, a traveling actor named Walter Hubbell, with a history of exposing fake mediums and the spiritualism movement of the time, would move into the house itself - determined to uncover the truth and debunk what he saw as impossible. What he would find inside would forever change the lives of all involved, and would turn the once skeptic minded Hubbell into a firm believer that not all stories are so easily disproven. S3 Episode 6- The Franklin Cover-up Pt1: Welcome To Omaha

In tonight's episode, we return to the air waves with the first chapter of our deep-dive investigative series on the Franklin Scandal. In this, our first part of a three part series, we take you back to the 1980s, and back to a city hiding a secret that would eventually shake the foundations of Nebraska's political, financial, and social elite. In this epic 3 part series, we will finally crack open the case files of one of the most insidious cover-ups in US history, one that many say is still ongoing, in one form or another, to this day. On November 4th, 1988, federal agents, along with the National Credit Union Administration, would execute a raid on a small local credit union in the heart of the midwest , Omaha, Nebraska. what began as a routine embezzlement case against the credit union's manager, Lawrence E. "Larry" King Jr, would quickly take a very dark, and sinister turn. Before they knew it, Nebraskan officials would soon stumble into something they were never supposed to find, a secret certain powerful people worked hard to keep buried- and they almost succeeded. We anchor our story in verifiable documents, financial statements, court records, official testimonies, and first-person interviews. (available at the link below in our Discord chat) We refuse to speculate or sensationalize, and we push back against lazy conspiracy narratives by focusing instead on what can be proven- and what remains unanswered. This isn't the full story, it's just the beginning. The Franklin Scandal was systematically buried; its victims silenced, murdered, or incarcerated, and it's truths- dismissed as a "well crafted hoax". This episode challenges that narrative head-on- not by making wild claims, but by showing just how many threads were swept under the rug, how many children were ignored, and how many powerful people managed to walk away untouched. This episode isn't an exposé', it's a reckoning.
