Vacillating

Although I love this podcast, for those of us that are highly sensitive, the vacillating between serious and humor becomes distracting. I understand the need for levity due to complexity and seriousness of the topics. But ,
the frequency of humor and interrupting the host contributes to the very challenges those with a trauma history, and/or eating disorders, and /or highly sensitive systems struggle withIn ourselves and others. We absolutely sometimes have to laugh , so I get it; Your podcast is vital to those who are finally hearing something NEW that resonates with them. I am a trauma therapist and work with people all the time and they soak in the information and education about having a perspective about their beautifully sensitive wiring. The constant humor pulls them out of that space. I love your podcast and I love the guests that you have. I refer my clients to it all the time. This is just a bit of feedback because I am a highly sensitive person first and if I was experiencing some frustration of the vacillation , I wonder if others are as well. Thank you for all you are doing to shed light on these topics and stripping away the shame ! Please keep the humor ; it is more about timing.

Stop interrupting!

I want to like this show! The people and topics are amazing, but please, Alanis, let people finish a *** sentence! Please!! If you need to show how smart you are, and I acknowledge that you are, then don’t have a guest. Lots of podcasters just talk without a guest.
