Welcome to Conversations with Buddy, where you will hear the stories of everyday people fighting through life’s challenges for meaning and purpose. From fear to faith, struggles to success, trials, and tribulations to triumph and victory. Where did they muster the courage to overcome and where does their hope come from? What is the lesson life has taught each of these people who share their stories and then be willing to share it with the world?

    Ep. 123 John Werst - Transformed by the Gospel!

    John is a man of God who has a heart for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and then discipling men! He’s been married for a long time and is a family man! Goes along with these two Bible verses: “And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature’.” Mark 16:15 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit; teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”  Matthew 28:19-20 Being retired from pastoral service does not mean, do nothing!  John is very involved with coaching, mentoring and discipleship.     Ep. 122 Rob Saffeels - Meant to live!

    The conversation with Rob was great!  Learning about how life, marriage and fatherhood has positively impacted his life! I saw him get really emotional when sharing parts of his testimony! Understand that God allows us FREE WILL to make our own decisions, which most often brings unwanted pain…  These challenging and painful times in our life are often the catalyst of CHANGE!  Pain can be a great teacher and can usher in some much needed humility!  Humility has a purpose… to bring us to a point where we realize our need for a Savior!  God has called all of us to believe in His Son, Jesus Christ! I do believe Rob is a man who believes in Jesus Christ and truly desires to follow Him! 🙏 The verse Rob unpacks is in Isaiah chapter 6.  When God asks the question… “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Isaiah then says, “Here am I.
