Welcome to Country-ish! A weekly podcast by comedian Jon Reep and his pals from Hickory. Jon lived in Los Angles for 18 years, but after his dad suffered a stroke, he moved back home to take care of his folks in Hickory, NC. Jon has spent half of his life in North Carolina and the other half in California. He's the Urban Cowboy of podcasting. Each week Jon chats with his Hickory friends, his parents, other comedians & even celebrity guests. He has ongoing segments such as "Small Town News", "Good Will Hunting", "How Much Is That Screen Actors Guild Residual Check?", "Member Me", and "Jon's Journal”

Well, butter my biscuit and call me a haystack, y'all ain't gonna believe this here review I'm fixin' to give ya for that there Country-ish podcast with the one and only Jon Reep! Now, let me tell ya, this show is like a big ol' slice of homemade apple pie on a hot summer day - it's sweet, tangy, and downright irresistible!
Jon Reep, that rambunctious feller, he's got a way with words that'll tickle your funny bone faster than a chicken on a junebug hunt. I mean, he's talkin' 'bout all things country, from moonshine makin' to cow tippin', and let me tell ya, he's got stories that'll make your jaw drop faster than a possum playin' possum!
And he ain't just yappin' all on his lonesome, no siree! Jon's got him some good ol' country friends taggin' along for the ride. They're chattin' 'bout life, love, and the downright ridiculous, and you'll feel like you're sittin' 'round a bonfire sharin' tales with your kinfolk.
Now, don't go thinkin' this here show is all jibber-jabber and no substance. Nah, Jon's got him some keen insights that'll have you noddin' your head like a bobblehead doll ridin' shotgun on a dirt road. He's talkin' 'bout things like southern hospitality, small-town quirks, and the joys of a good old-fashioned hootenanny.

I’m kicking my bottom trying to check in with Jon and his people. The interns, D-Allen Jackson, and that guy with the hat, Johnny Citrus. It’s funny, informative, and funky, but like, in a small town country way. Good show!

This is the podcast America needs right now!
As the unofficial mascot of country-ish I would like to comment on the issue of being hot for mascots everywhere by answering the top three questions we get.
Number 1…YES IT IS HOT IN THE COSTUME…40 degrees hotter inside the costume than the outside temperature!
Number 2…Yes you can take a picture and have an autograph
Number 3…No I will not hold your baby.
A couple homestands ago I went to take a break to cool off….I went to an area of the ballpark that was not occupied and opened the door to the restroom only to walk in on a lady in the middle of using the restroom. If she was having constipation issues then I’m sure having a 7 foot Sasquatch barge in on her immediately cured her of that! Of course I couldn’t break the cardinal rule of no talking for mascots…..so I didn’t say anything…..she just saw my big dumb grin on the face of the Sasquatch and then quickly I fled the scene. It gets a little awkward every time I see her again but hopefully she will forget about over time.
By the way I would like Isaiah to say Dollars Dollars Dollars Dollars Dollars Dollars Dollars Dollars!
