    Sarah Koff

    Sarah Koff

In this episode of Creative Guts, co-hosts Laura Harper Lake and Sarah Wrightsman sit down with Sarah Koff, a printmaker living and working in Exeter, New Hampshire. Sarah’s work — hand-carved and printed woodcuts and linocuts — features a heavy dose of nature, but she also makes custom work from block-printed house and pet portraits to logos. Sarah’s career as an artist has evolved over the years from a new mom and recent NH transplant selling handmade greeting cards at the farmer’s market to a full-blown artist. In response to her daughter’s fondness for koalas and the fires in Australian, Sarah raised $6118 in support of two organizations working on bushfire relief efforts selling adorable koala prints. As a mom, Sarah is always prepared to answer the “What’s your favorite color?” question, and thanks to her fake British dad, her British accent isn’t half bad! Listen to hear Sarah’s goals for 2020, and how sometimes the block really is more meaningful than the print.

Check out Sarah’s work on the web at www.sarahkoffstudio.com, on Facebook www.facebook.com/SarahKoffStudio and on Instagram www.instagram.com/sarahkoffstudio.

    Becky Karush

    Becky Karush

In this episode of Creative Guts, co-hosts Laura Harper Lake and Sarah Wrightsman sit down with Becky Karush of Read To Me with Becky Karush, a podcast that was inspired by the gateless writing method. Becky believes that when we read aloud great writing, and listen for what we love, we become more powerful writers. Read To Me helps her listeners practice two elements of the gateless writing method: listening for and mirroring back what is great on the page. Tune in to this episode to hear the beautiful story of a writer who didn’t write for 16 years, and how Becky’s persistence and willingness to be vulnerable helped her return to writing, led her to becoming a trained instructor in the gateless writing method, and inspired the creation of Read to Me with Becky Karush.

Once an aspiring ceramicist, Marcia never planned on being an oil painter and printmaker. She has a way of finding beauty and insight in every day, mundane objects. Refreshing and Insightful

Great new podcast about finding your voice, your creative guts. Interviews with creatives and their journeys and how they found and use their creative guts to do their work. Explores the process, what inspires and how creative work evolves. Insightful questions, laughter and a light hearted spirit of both interviewers makes listening most enjoyable.
