So good!

I am slowly working my way through all the archives for this show. It’s my favorite, hands down.

A Refuge From The Problems, In Other Peoples' Problems

This podcast is the auditory equivalent of a crackling fire, a cozy blanket, and a warm-but-not-too-hot cup of tea. Daniel Mallory Ortberg has the unique ability to take some of the most complicated and hurtful situations, and spin them into solutions which empower people to take control of their lives. This podcast puts me at ease, and I mean this as a compliment — I put this podcast on to help me sleep at night when things get overwhelming. I so appreciate this column and this podcast.

I will always love anything Daniel does.

Anything. If it has his name on it, I trust it will be awesome. As a Toast lover from way back, I was SO delighted to find him here, though I was a bit skeptical about how much I would like an advice column. Still. It was a DANIEL advice column.
He and his guests are deeply, DEEPLY compassionate and also deeply committed to telling folks what they need to hear, whether that’s get OUT or get two kittens or don’t go to Christmas with your mother in law. It’s funny and inspiring and heartbreaking and sad and delightful. All of it.
