Deep Waters

Kenneth Shelton

Deep Waters is about understanding and how to apply what's in the Bible. We need the absolute revelation, not interpretation, of God's written voice. Bible and ministry ignorance is one of the greatest plagues we are facing today, (also known as the Laodicean Church age) and I have the most earnest desire to eradicate this plague from our earthly church today. If you want entry level Bible teaching, or no teaching at all then you can attend your local church, but if you want to get to know God, yes really get to know Him intimately then stay tuned into this podcast and get ready to cast off your arm floaties. No, not all churches are missing it, but in saying this, I challenge you to find one that operates as them ol' preacher boys did in the book of Acts. This ministry isn't trying to get the attention of our Lord Jesus by being the biggest most glamorous, most relevant for today's culture church the heavenly host has ever cast their eyes upon. We are after the one's that know that they know, that they know, there has to be more than what most churches are chatting about in these times. And where, by God, is the power that is to accompany the preachers preach? Christian peeps it is time to pluck our Christian heads out of the sands of inefficiencies and ineffectiveness and join our Lord in the battle on the surface of this earth. The Podcast Preacher challenges you to get lit for God and to listen to these messages and remain the same as you are when you first tuned in. This will be impossible if you are bent on your God obligated Christian activities and calling. Video's and books will come in there time but for now I guarantee you will not remain as you are if you engage in these messages. The Podcast Preacher is called, appointed, and anointed to help you grow. I have been given the gift of Teacher and it is flowing in and pouring out to all who can hear and see what the Lord is doing these days.  A final word to the wise: you will hear things that you will not hear in more than 95% of today’s churches, and that is fine, that is why God is always using the uncommon man to move His church forward. Each of the more than 470 messages is fully supported by scripture so that you can do your own research and look into these things that God is saying during these no doubt end times. This is not an end times ministry, it is teaching, a getting to know God intimately ministry. It is a ministry of encouragement and of accelerated spiritual growth. The only promise that we can make is if you, yes it is, if you hear and do what is in these messages then normal goes out the window. This is Bible confirmed and backed by the good fruit of this ministry.  1 Cor 3:1-3 - 3 And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. 2 I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; 3 for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?  Much love - your Podcast Preacher

My Opinion On Steven Spielberg’s Movie Disclosure Day

Send us Fan Mail This message is going to be based on my opinion of watching the recent Stephen Spielberg movie “Disclosure Day.” I remember listening to a podcast or YouTube short in which the God believing speaker did not give a favorable review to the movie and in fact recommended that no one watch it. So, I grabbed ahold of this advice and made that recommendation to any interested parties. Not a good decision on my part no doubt. But then my “teacher calling” came out in me and I thought that if someone were to ask me about what I thought about the movie and I didn’t have an answer then I would also be missing out on a potential opportunity to possibly speak the truth in love which is contained within this message. What’s that you ask? Well, you will have to put on your “I want to learn” hat and then draw your own conclusions after you have heard the entire message: Luke 6:40 - 40 A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher. Luke 5:39 - 39 And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, ‘The old is better.’ ” I say this because I have had people who did not listen to an entire message only to attempt to debate me without a full understanding of the message. I liken these type of people to one who looks at a book introduction or cover and reads the back cover somehow thinking that they are now qualified to have a discussion about its contents. This used to be me in grade school. Little did I know that it was a shortcut to stupidity. To be fair this is a common practice of lazy Christians or the young ones that are full of zeal but do not understand the process of learning and understanding. I was this type of Christian in my early days, so I speak from embarrassing experiences. https://appliedstrengthsministry.org/

    The 1st And 2nd Judgements

Send us Fan Mail This is the final message of four of which are based on differences. The previous three were the differences between the 1st and 2nd resurrections, the differences between the 1st and 2nd death, and the 1st and 2nd coming. These are the differences between specific end time events. Since we are told more than 30 times to be watching we might want to know when prophetic scriptures occur so that we know the time of His visitation. Ah no but more accurately the timeline of His return within reason.   Understanding these messages will eliminate confusion which is right now being released on the planet. Ah but you say the scriptures say that God is not the author of confusion, and I would say that yes you are correct but it doesn’t say that there is not an author; 1 Corinthians 14:33 - 33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. These messages are not long but packed with spiritual clarity. There may be some overlap which cannot be helped as many of these end time differences touch each other. Let’s define judgment so that we understand its place within this message and understand what it means for us as we will eventually be judged for how we lived on this planet:   The Bible states in several passages that people will be judged or rewarded according to their deeds and works.  Key Bible Verses 2 Corinthians 5:10: "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad." Revelation 20:12–13: "And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books." Matthew 16:27: "For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works." Romans 2:6: God "will render to each one according to his deeds."Ecclesiastes 12:14: "For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil."https://appliedstrengthsministry.org/

What Is The Difference Between The First And Second Coming

Send us Fan Mail These next two messages will be based on differences. I just did one based on the differences between the 1st and 2nd resurrections, and the differences between the 1st and 2nd death. These are the differences between specific end time events. Since we are told more than 30 times to be watching we might want to know when prophetic scriptures occur so that we know the time of His visitation. Ah no but more accurately the timeline of His return within reason.   These next two messages will not be long but packed with spiritual clarity. There may be some overlap which cannot be helped as many of these end time differences touch each other. The main difference between the first and second coming is that Jesus came the first time in humility as a baby to save people from sin, but he will come the second time in power and glory as a King to judge the world and rule.  The First Coming also known as the first advent: Advent means: Arrival: The coming of a notable person, event, or invention.Christian Tradition The Season: A four-week period of waiting and preparation before Christmas.Start of the Church Year: It marks the beginning of the liturgical year in Western Christianity. Two Focuses: Believers reflect on the first coming of Jesus at his birth and look forward to his second coming.Form: Jesus came as a human baby born in a humble manger in Bethlehem.Purpose: He came as the "Suffering Servant" and the "Lamb of God" to die on the cross and pay for human sin.Reception: His arrival was quiet and witnessed by only a few shepherds and magi; the world largely ignored or rejected him.Status: It is a historical event that already happened roughly 2,000 years ago. The Second Coming (The Return)... https://appliedstrengthsministry.org/

What Is The difference Between The First And Second Death

Send us Fan Mail The next three messages will be based on differences. I just did one based on the differences between the 1st and 2nd resurrections. These are the differences between specific end time events. Since we are told more than 30 times to be watching we might want to know when prophetic scriptures occur so that we know the time of His visitation. Ah no but more accurately the timeline of His return within reason.   These next three messages will not be long but packed with spiritual clarity. We will lightly touch on the 1st and 2nd deaths and because all of the 1st and 2nd messages are somewhat related overlap cannot be helped.  The first death and the second death are two distinct stages of human mortality and final judgment described in Christian theology and the Book of Revelation. The first death is physical death on Earth, while the second death is final spiritual judgment and eternal separation from God.  The First Death ·        Nature: The temporary, natural end of physical life where the body stops functioning and separates from the soul or spirit. ·        Scope: Experienced by all of humanity, including both believers and non-believers throughout history. ·        Reversibility: Considered temporary in theology, because bodies or souls are raised again at the final resurrection.  The Second Death ·        Nature: The permanent, final judgment symbolized in scripture as the "lake of fire". ·        Scope: Experienced only by those whose names are not found in the book of life; believers who take part in the "first resurrection" are untouched by it. ·        Reversibility: Permanent and irreversible; it represents the ultimate, eternal separation or destruction away from God's presence. https://appliedstrengthsministry.org/

The Difference Between The First And Second Resurrection

Send us Fan Mail The next three or four messages will be based on differences. What are the differences between specific end time events? Since we are told more than 30 times to be watching we might want to know when prophetic scriptures occur so that we know the time of His visitation. Ha…no but more accurately the timeline of His return within reason.   These next three or four messages will not be long but packed with spiritual clarity. We will lightly touch on the 1st and 2nd judgement as all of the 1st and 2nd messages are somewhat related so it cannot be helped. I will be doing a fuller message on the two judgements in a future message. Let’s get it! I asked AI when the first resurrection occurs will it be occurring at the time of the rapture? It stated the following: Views among Christians differ, but many traditions teach that the resurrection of believers who have died occurs at the exact same time as the rapture.  The Connection Between the Rapture and Resurrection Happening Together: Passages like 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 state that Jesus will descend, the dead in Christ will rise first, and then living believers will be caught up together with them.  Let’s look at the whole scripture: 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 - 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. https://appliedstrengthsministry.org/

The Bible’s Definition Of The Terms “Ages” And “Dispensationalism” And What Salvation Looks Like In There Differences

Send us Fan Mail I am doing a series of messages that will contain around ten end time word definitions so that you, when you are reading your bible and come across some of the words, you will know what the word is and even the differences in words as they relate to timeframe.  An example of the next three messages following this one will be to define the differences between two words or period of times for the same word like 1st and 2nd resurrection, or 1st and 2nd death, or 1st and 2nd coming.  This message will be to explain and define periods of time in the bible and why it matters in relationship to salvation and to the words “resurrection”, ‘death” and “coming.” For example right now we are in the church age or dispensation. Salvation works differently for us as it did for the Old Testament Jews. Now, now it still has to come through Jesus but in what manner God set up the two periods of time differs one from another.  Ok so first let’s distinguish the differences between an “age” and a “dispensation” so that as we move through, we maintain our biblical bearings. The difference between ages and dispensations in the bible are as follows: An age refers to a measure of time, while a dispensation refers to a system of administration or stewardship during that time.  Key Differences ·        Ages are chronological. They mark distinct periods or eras on a historical timeline. ·        Dispensations are administrative. They define how God relates to humanity and what responsibilities He gives them in that particular dispensation. For example in the OT they sacrificed animals yearly so that the sins that they committed throughout the year would be “covered” by the invoking of the dispensational rules that God set up. But in the NT example Jesus was the final sacrifice: o   Hebrews 7:27: He does not need to offer daily sacrifices like other high priests, "for this he did once for all when he offered up himself". o   Hebrews 9:28: "So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time..." o   Hebrews 10:10: "And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all". https://appliedstrengthsministry.org/

    Elevator Up

Send us Fan Mail This message is going to be a parable about your Christian life representing an elevator. Why because this image popped into my head and made perfect sense. It is also helpful in showing you that Jesus Himself did this vey thing when sharing stories with those of His day. Let’s begin by imagining the number of years that you might live, and so for this illustration we will use the number 75 yrs. Therefore, our building is a 75-story building with each floor representing one year of your life.  When you are first born you begin at the first story of your building. At each floor the elevator goes up, it represents one year of your life. And every time you go up from one floor to another, let’s say on your birthday, it is implied that you are more spiritually and naturally mature. It is my believe that if you are not authentically born again your natural maturity is massively hindered and this will be evident because your life will, like a baby, be all about yourself. And well, your spiritual maturity will be near non-existent, even if you are a part of some other spiritual growth false religion and by the way all of them are false leading to a hell-bent sent run by none other than satan himself. This is why we need to trust God because you can never trust the father of lies to tell the truth (John 14:6 and 8:44). I say this because some people do mature somewhat without God, for selfish reasons like getting a promotion, but no doubt their appetite to satisfy themselves. Their wants, own desires, and selfishly supposed needs, will eventually, and at times, rear its ugly head. My example is my own life before I became authentically born-again. In my own thoughts and sin I justified by anti-God beliefs and behaviors by redefining salvation and the bible of which I knew nothing about. I simply believed with a wide satisfied smile on my face that I was a good person and a good God would be contented when He looked upon my life in His examination, no doubt thinking as I thought while living a very selfish life that I indeed was a good person.  https://appliedstrengthsministry.org/

    Distracted With Much Serving

Send us Fan Mail We are going to open up with the foundational, in part, scripture in which supports all of the questions I ask within this message: Luke 10:38-42 - 38 Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” 41 And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. 42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” Why was Mary in a good part better position than Martha even though Jesus was in the house and available to both of them? I mean how did being at the feet of Jesus change Mary? What did it reveal in Martha? What made her ignore serving Him and chose to just listen to Him? What were they talking about? What did Jesus say to her? What would she have missed if she were in the kitchen? What didn’t Martha see in the moment, that Mary saw? We may not know these specific details, but something Jesus said altered Mary’s life I will show you later in this message.  Is this you? Are you so busy with the things of life that, even though Jesus lives in you along with the Father and the Holy Spirit, you are busy in the kitchen of life? What are you missing being in the kitchen rather than being in at the feet of Jesus?  And OK so but let’s look at how Jesus the Father, and the Holy Spirit show up for dinner in our days: The Holy Spirit in Us ·        1 Corinthians 6:19: Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you. o   1 Corinthians 6:19 - 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? ·        Romans 8:11: God raises us through His Spirit who lives inside us. o   Romans 8:11 - 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. ·        John 14:16-17: Jesus promises that the Spirit of truth lives with you and will be in you.  o   John 14:16-17 - 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. https://appliedstrengthsministry.org/
