We are back with a selection by molekühl, a Zurich based and very talented woman. She has been in love with music since she was a young girl. After learning to play the piano and already building her own music compositions in her young years, she graduated her musicology study and is now a professional multi genre artist. Occasionally, you can experience her live performances, where she takes you on a trip through experimental sounds with her synths and keys. If you catch her playing at club night, she leads you on a journey through her favorite vinyl selections, spanning from techno and 90s trance to breaks and bass music. And with the first rays of dawn she creates some slow morning ambient spirit for the dancer's dream preparation. These diverse musical facets are intertwined within her, much like how a molecule is composed of countless tiny particles.
So stay tuned for this mix of molekühl. We don’t want to reveal too much, but she will give you a deep drive into the last summer days of the year. Or in her own words: She will lead you deep down the rabbit hole! Thanks a lot for being part of our series molekühl!

    [dpr_xs_podcast_126_mʊdʌki]

Our 126th episode comes from @mudaki, who we first discovered last year, when she was playing a driving and diverse mix, full of breaks and a serious dubstep part, at a techno party we were attending. This diversity in sound is what we also heard when we listened through her musical output, which ranges from field recordings, ambient and electronic experiments over techno and trance to bass music in all its facets. Besides being a music producer and sound designer, she is also part of the @phononcrew, which is „focused on experimental electronic music, sound art and contemporary electroacoustic music mediated through events, releases, workshops & research“.
The mix mʊdʌki prepared for us is again a driving, breaky and bassy one hour trip, which very much reminded us of the night we first met in a musical way.

    [dpr_xs_podcast_125_aikanã]

Aikanã is one of the few good things the C-19 Pandemic has created. In the first lockdown two well-known artists of the dark and jungle drum and bass scene started a collaboration to work on a new sound. So the project Aikanã was born. They have already released music on labels like @kurnugu and @zod-dnb. But until now the real identities behind Akainã are unknown.
Enjoy the anonymous 1 hour ride into the darkness together with Aikanã!

    [dpr_xs_podcast_124_hórnbęrg]

September is the time of transformation. Green switches into yellow. Warm tea instead of fresh drinks. Adventure leads into Coziness. In our podcast number 124 Hórnbęrg underlines this wind of change musically. In a fascinating way he draws sound pictures of falling leaves, skin reproduction, sunny clouds, shaky grounds. A vibe of something new.
Born and raised at the Baltic Sea area, Hórnbęrg moved to Berlin where he devoted himself to music. He started a podcast series named Gramofonowa., acted closely together with STAUB, Intergalactic Research Institute For Sound or Art Bei Ton and worked at the JustMusic Store Berlin. As a DJ he is a true record digger and is equally comfortable playing bizarre, left-field sounds and ambient as he is in the field of techno. He developed his ear within the rich cultural context the city of Berlin provides.
Now after 20 years back in Rostock he doesn’t think about leaning back. He is the Co-Host of Kyr, a monthly ambient series of Callshop Radio and is always on the go to spread the big facets of electronic music.

Let’s welcome Hórnbęrg and with him the new reality of autumn.

Bass focus - this name represents exactly what our this month’s guest @lona_my stands for. From Drum and Bass to Dubstep, Bassmusic has a special place in her heart for nearly her whole life. Accordingly she started DJing three years ago and co-founded the eponymous crew @bassfocusleipzig. In times of lockdowns they have organized livestreams together that are focused on a balanced line-up to give Flinta*DJs more attention than before.
In her selection for this Podcast she focused on deep Dubstep tracks with varied harmonies. A wonderful mix - something between hood or summer hat. So big thanks to @lona_my from Leipzig!

    [dpr_xs_podcast_122_yin yang audio]

Today we invite you to join this musical ride through different genres. Behind the wheel you can find Yin Yang Audio - a producer and also selfcalled conjurer of bass music. We would definitely underline this, because he adroitly takes different elements of many genres and combines them to a deep and big sound. So it comes with no surprise that he curates Descent, an event night in Houston which showcases the darker and more experimental sound of electronic music. With his releases on Onset Audio, Kornarion, Syhda Music, or Diffuse Reality, as with his whole music, he tries to produce something special, something that words are not enough to describe.
