Anyone who talks about Newman as much as these two Gents do will inevitably talk about his theory of the Development of Doctrine. But what if this pivotal theory by the recent Doctor of the Church not only gives new perspectives on approaching Scripture, but is made more sense of by looking toward Scripture to help make sense of it? That's what the guys set about doing in today's episode, and have time to declare a pox of both houses that make abstract what must always be concrete about the Faith and Life of the Church.
