Differently Abled is a podcast starring Bernie Williams and Lennell Key. Bernie is an Educator and father of a 14 year old daughter. Bernie also just so happen to be wheelchair bound from a spinal cord injury as a child. Lennell Key is the owner and founder of The Legal Assistance Center USA at http://lac-usa.com he is also the proud father of a 12 year old non-verbal autistic son. Together the team is going to discuss everyday struggles and triumphs dealing with their current situations.

In this episode we also discuss the Special Needs Community representation in Movies, on TV, and in books and who to make these medias more diverse.

    Nikki Montgomery is an Author and Scholar but most importantly she is the parent of an autistic child who used to have a trach. She shares her wisdom on raising a disabled child to facing the greater world. This amazing woman also found the time to obtain more degrees than a Fahrenheit thermometer and write numerous books to help other parents and care givers.  We also discuss the little Autistic girl who was unidentified in a Queens, NY police station. Methods and techniques to make sure your child is always identifiable in case of separation.

    In this episode we discuss the stress and pressure that can be caused by the pandemic quarantine and way to alleviate some of that pressure. We mention pandemics of the past and how society coped. We also discuss an episode of House Hunters International on HGTV where a courageous woman doesn't let spina bifida beat or defeat her. Lastly we talk about those nursing home employees in California who didn't show up for work causing dozens of residents to be evacuated.

    Home Schooling hints and tips Season 2 Episode 2

    Today we have a special guess Rashida Curtis who specializes in working with adult autism and other mental aliments.  We also discuss the ins and outs of homeschooling children with special needs, techniques and tips to help parents who may be struggling. We mention improper discipline of a child with autism or other disabilities. How to properly socially interact with your child and others in public, and lastly we discuss getting the most resources possible for your child from their school or program.

    Season 2 Episode 1 (THE CORONAVIRUS EPISODE)

    In this episode we discuss the school closings and the closing of businesses. We also take a deep dark look at the affects on this virus to our most vulnerable citizens. We examine governmental responses and resources to help combat this pandemic and lastly we provide hints and tips to stay safe during this crisis.

    In this our season 1 finally we discuss the injustice of the disabilities transportation tax and how it is decimating the quality of life for autistic and disabled people who want to function normally in today's society.  We then switch gears to discuss service animals and their potential impact on the lives and well being of people in our community. Lastly we focus on water proof tactical pants for wheelchair users and how they preserve dignity on rainy days.

    Episode 9

    In this episode We discuss the openly Autistic State House of Representative candidate Jessica Beham. We also talk about the Autism bill that Trump signed providing billions of dollars for autism research. This episode also discusses VIVA LAS VEGAS shows and as a vacation destination for disabled people. Lastly we discuss issues that affect our communities during this election season.
