    Ep 258 Ian Flemings Live and Let Die 1954 Book Review : Do You Expect Us To Talk?

    Do You Expect Us to Talk? returns back to bond in its original book form.  The second novel in Ian Fleming's series, following Casino Royale, Live and Let Die sees James Bond travel to New York, Florida, and finally Jamaica to take down the gangster and SMERSH agent Mr. Big. Using smuggled 17th-century gold coins from a pirate treasure hoard, Mr. Big launders the proceeds through his Harlem-based criminal empire, funneling the money back to SMERSH to fund Soviet operations. Teaming up once again with his old friend Felix Leiter (now with the CIA), and aided by Mr. Big's reluctant mistress and fortune-teller Solitaire—who defects to Bond's side—007 sets out to dismantle another arm of the deadly Soviet spy network.     Do You expect us to talk? returns to continue with Hitchcock with 1942's Saboteur. This sees Hitchcock treading on new territory, as a man goes on the the run after being framed, dragging a young woman with him to form a bidding romance and stumbling into well spoken villains plotting something big, leading unto the climix at a famous landmark. An aircraft factory worker is accused of setting a fire causing domestic sabotage. Following the lead of a mysterious new face finds him in danger, unraveling the organised group of saboteurs.  Join Becca, Chris, and Dave as we discuss villains with posh accents, the trope of the blind man who sees all, how everyone forget about Barrys friend who dies... err, Ken I think it was and could this be Hitchcocks not political film.
