Ep 241The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog : Do You Expect Us To Talk?

Do You Expect Us To Talk? returns with probably the biggest series yet. We start to take on the works of maybe one of the most prolific and famous directors of all time, Alfred Hitchcock. Starting with what is deemed as the first true Hitchcock film, The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog is set against a backdrop of a murderer on the loose, killing a different young blond woman every Tuesday night. A mysterious man, matching the description of the murder, turns up and rents a room from a couple . As suspicion rises the young stranger forms a close bond with the young blond haired daughter Daisy, causing tensions with Daisy's boyfriend and the lead police officer on the hunt for the killer.
Join Becca, Dave and Chris as we discuss the different versions of The Lodger, Hitchcock's themes coming through, Hitchcock's cameo, how crap the 2009 remake looks and of course Dune Part Two.

Do You Expect Us To Talk? Returns yet again and recaps the year gone by. Some of the films of 2024 we have covered previously, but we go back and cover what we remember of 2024. Apologies if we’ve missed your favourite or if we did but only to slag it off.

Yes, I expect them to talk!

Awesome show. This podcast started with a unique perspective of the James Bond universe but has now ventured into other movie franchises. Becca, Chris & Dave have a great formula & offer an insight no other podcast can imitate. After listening to this podcast you’ll never watch a movie the same way again.

Love this podcast!!!

Started listening to you guys when you did the Bond films, and really enjoyed your comments and discussions. I think it's great you're doing other film series. Just finished listening to your first Star Wars podcast, and thought it was wonderful. Looking forward to the next one! Keep up the good work!

A great podcast for 007 fans.

'Do You Expect Us To Talk?' is a great show. I'm really glad I've caught the show in its early days. The hosts do a nice job of reviewing each movie on an individual basis. I'm excited to follow along with the show as they rewatch the entire James Bond film series. I can't think of anything I don't like about the show. Keep it up!
