Do You Expect Us To Talk? continues the X-Men series with X-Men: First Class. With Matthew Vaughn at the helm after nearly directing Last Stand, we see the series take a prequel approach that can be seen as a reboot. Seeking the help of Charles Xavier, who has just earned his doctorate of Professor of Genetics, and his childhood shapeshifting friend Raven, to match their mutant abilities. Meanwhile Erik Lensherr is hunting down those responsible for the death of his mother, with his eye dead on Hellfire Club leader Sebastian Shaw.

Ep 214 X-Men Origins: Wolverine: Do You Expect Us To Talk?

Ep 214 X-Men Origins: Wolverine: Do You Expect Us To Talk?

Do You expect Us To Talk? continues with the X-Men series with the first Wolverine solo film. X-Men Origins Wolverine tells the back story of Logan that we already know 80% of. Red coning Victor Creed (Sabertooth) as his half brother, on the run through time, briefly skipping a potently better movie, fighting in Civil war, both world wars and Vietnam. As Longan and Victor are both hand picked by William Stryker to join his special task force. Leaving Stryker’s unethical principles behind, Logan tries to live a quiet life in solitude with Kayla. However, Styker tracks him down with an offer that leads to his adamantium skeleton and claws.

Join Becca, Dave and Chris as we discuss, Shane from Neighbours, proto- Deadpool, cartoon claws, the acting talents of Will.I.Am, replacement Michelle Monaghan and how to have a plot that makes no sense that is absolutely pointless while being redundant while all at the same time.

Ep 213 X-Men: The Last Stand: Do You Expect Us To Talk?

Ep 213 X-Men: The Last Stand: Do You Expect Us To Talk?

Do You Expect Us To Talk? returns with the third X-Men movie. As we ponder at how life would be if Bryan Singer returned to make this movie instead of Brett Ratner, The Last Stand finds the Mutants having to deal with an interesting development. A so called “cure” for mutants has been created, offering to end the conflict or possibly escalate it. As Magneto rounds up his troops ready for war, Jean Grey is found alive and even more powerful and unstable than before. So much more powerful that she maybe the deciding factor on who wins this war.

Join Becca, Dave and Chris as we discuss Dave’s love for Vinnie Jones, alternative names for the “cure,” what kind of director Brett Ratner is, how crap of a boyfriend Bobby is, how the series tends to rush production, how this doesn’t do the Dark Phoenix saga any justice and the lack of any romance in this so called love story.

Do You Expect Us To Talk? continues with the second X-Men film. Following an attack on the president by a mutant, tensions rise. Military scientist Colonel William Stryker has a grudge with Xavier and mutants in general and plans an attack on Xavier School for the gifted and to take Xavier and Cerebro technology to use at his own ends. Meanwhile Xavier sends the X-Men to find the mutant who attacked the White House as Wolverine returns to Xavier School after failing to discover more about his past, while Jean’s powers are expanding and unstable.

Join Becca, Dave and Chris as we discuss if this is one of the best superhero movies, Goldeneye reunions, Ian McKellen acting like a 13 year old girl, the the most obvious heel turn that has been put on screen and how Bobby’s little brother is a little shit.

Yes, I expect them to talk!

Awesome show. This podcast started with a unique perspective of the James Bond universe but has now ventured into other movie franchises. Becca, Chris & Dave have a great formula & offer an insight no other podcast can imitate. After listening to this podcast you’ll never watch a movie the same way again.

Love this podcast!!!

Started listening to you guys when you did the Bond films, and really enjoyed your comments and discussions. I think it's great you're doing other film series. Just finished listening to your first Star Wars podcast, and thought it was wonderful. Looking forward to the next one! Keep up the good work!

A great podcast for 007 fans.

'Do You Expect Us To Talk?' is a great show. I'm really glad I've caught the show in its early days. The hosts do a nice job of reviewing each movie on an individual basis. I'm excited to follow along with the show as they rewatch the entire James Bond film series. I can't think of anything I don't like about the show. Keep it up!
