Dreamboy

Set over a few flickering nights in Cleveland, Ohio, this is a story of creatures, human and otherwise, caught in the eternal pornography of the cosmos, told in the blockbuster cinematic style of Spielberg classics.
At a loss for words

Yknow when you read a poem in 10th grade English class that's so haunting, it burrows into your mind and stays with you even as the years go by? For starters, the commitment to hiring actual classical vocalists/opera singers for the musical numbers/arias/pieces is insane.as a professional opera singer, I did not expect that. What a pleasant surprise. The music's constant tendency to induce secondhand anxiety does get a bit stale as the final episodes come around, but then again this is averted by just not viscerally feeling the profoundness of the music. I just don't know who I could recommend it to. I wonder if Dreamboy could ever be made into a modern operetta. Anything is possible in this age. Simply amazing. Bravo!
the music!!!!

no joke, the best sound track and orchestration in any podcast i have heard. each episode is like a fantastic meal for my ears, and this is like the fifth time i've listened to the whole thing through.
Oddly beautiful and immensely queer!

HUGE kudos to all the voice actors! At some points it is WAY too explicit for me, but it was so intensely complex and philosophical. Strange comedy. Gorgeous imagery. I love the different lives we see and the sci-fi vibes. “The Blue Hand” episode was an acid trip (literally), and the color song was so good! The music and sound effects in general were great. It’s a podcast where you never know what’s happening, but you also know exactly what is happening.
Hauntingly beautiful

Okay so ‘hauntingly beautiful’ sounds a bit cliché, but it’s definitely fitting. I listen to podcasts to sleep and rarely does one catch my full attention the way this one has. I didn’t know what to expect when it was recommended, but it wasn’t this. The story is very original and so well written. The voice actors are all top notch. It’s disturbing, funny, whimsical, erotic, suspenseful, and paints a picture in one’s mind like I’ve never experienced before. Apparently there’s no second season, but I’ll be looking for more from this writer/composer. The music is an entirely different delight completely. I can’t describe it. It just must be experienced. The presidential waltz ‘scene’ had me captivated for some reason. It seems so small and inconsequential but it, another lame cliche, blew me away. I was absolutely consumed by this dream world. Okay that’s more than sufficient for a podcast review. Just check it out, if you’re an adult and have space for what may be triggering content for some.
