Lando Finally Breaks Through! feat. Fred Smith

Lando Finally Breaks Through! feat. Fred Smith

On this latest episode of Drive To Wynn, host Justin Bell welcomes Fred Smith, Road & Track's Motorsports Editor. JB & Fred dissect the Miami GP, where it became apparent to everyone that McLaren's upgrades have them rivaling Ferrari...and dare we say, Red Bull? Fred thinks with Ferrari's recent inconsistencies and Sergio Perez's lackluster start, McLaren are licking their chops headed into a track that’s even better suited for their tech upgrades – Imola.

Justin can't help but reflect on the late Gil de Ferran's impact on both young McLaren drivers, and how the team dedicated their first win in three years to his honor. And in memoriam to the 30th anniversary of Ayrton Senna's fatal accident at Imola, it'll be interesting to see how the Formula 1 community pays tribute at the iconic track next weekend.

Chinese GP Recap feat. Zak Brown

Chinese GP Recap feat. Zak Brown

On this latest episode of Drive To Wynn, host Justin Bell welcomes Zak Brown, former driver & current CEO of McLaren Racing. JB starts with his takeaways from the Chinese Grand Prix, the first in five years at the Shanghai International Circuit. Max Verstappen swept both the Sprint Race and Grand Prix, but there were plenty of juicy storylines unfolding in his rearview mirror. Lando Norris continued his climb up the driver standings with a strong P2 performance, Mercedes’ struggles deepened worries about Lewis Hamilton’s transition to Ferrari and Lance Stroll created chaos with a comical miscue during a restart.

Zak explains how McLaren has closed the gap on Red Bull sooner than expected, and how both of his young drivers have embraced the long-term vision of the program. He also comments on Ferrari & Mercedes’ lame duck drivers and how their frustrations will magnify when information on next year’s cars begins circulating. We also preview next weekend’s Miami GP, which has become a spectacle in itself, and how McLaren’s pending upgrades could impact their performance on a track known for its slick surface.

    Max's Dominance feat. Dale Jr.

    Max's Dominance feat. Dale Jr.

On this latest episode of Drive To Wynn, host Justin Bell welcomes Dale Earnhardt Jr., NASCAR Hall of Fame Driver, to the show. Justin recaps the Japanese GP, where Max Verstappen rebounded from a DNF to sweep the events at Suzuka. It appears Ferrari has distanced themselves from the rest of the pack to close ground on the Red Bulls. Justin also gives his take on Yuki Tsunoda's points finish at his home track, Danny Ricciardo's terrible start to the season and Mercedes' sudden complacency to fall behind the McLarens.

Dale Jr. comments on Verstappen's current run of 20 victories in 22 races, and urges Formula 1 fans to appreciate the greatness we are witnessing. Why don't race fans embrace greatness like they have in past decades? He draws several parallels between the worlds of NASCAR & F1, and thinks commitments to evolving technology will only continue to grow the popularity of both sports. Plus, we get some candid answers to our Mobil1 Pit Stop feature to close out the conversation!

    Wild Aussie GP Without Max

    Wild Aussie GP Without Max

On this latest episode of Drive To Wynn, host Justin Bell welcomes Elliott Hughes, Staff Writer at Magneto, to the show. Justin recaps the Australian GP, where a rare early exit from Max Verstappen led to an opportunistic field looking to capitalize. JB shares his thoughts on the final results and highlights a brilliant P1 drive from Carlos Sainz, who is auditioning for a seat in next year's campaign.

Elliott runs through top headlines in the Formula 1 world, including Ferrari's recent success, McLaren's uptick in points and the controversy surrounding Fernando Alonso & George Russell's late-race incident.

Saudi GP Recap & Supercar Blondie

Saudi GP Recap & Supercar Blondie

On this latest episode of Drive To Wynn, host Justin Bell welcomes Alex Hirschi, aka Supercar Blondie, to the show. Justin recaps a mostly quiet Saudi GP, where 18yo Oliver Bearman stole headlines by replacing Carlos Sainz to the tune of a brilliant P7 finish. Another 1-2 result for Red Bull tames the field on the track yet again, however Justin maintains the Christian Horner drama is far from over.

Alex explains how she came to prominence in the racing scene, and how women are now playing a key role in Formula 1's exploding popularity. She explains social media's evolving role in race marketing, and how it's made the most sought after cars in the world more accessible to the public.

Will addresses the evolving Christian Horner scandal, and while urging everyone to wait for all the facts, admits that there are certainly some fractures within the Red Bull garage that could potentially lead to major team changes.

It’s about time!! Been wanting this podcast for years 👍Thank you JB

Enjoyable

Never have Bob ‘the 🤡’ Varsha on again. I don’t know if we’ll be able to even hear him again with his lips pressed SO HARD to Lewis’ 🍑. What an embarrassment of a guest. Had to bring up EVERY ridiculous SJW nonsense Lewis is and likes. The host has a good voice for podcasting and seems to cast a fair blanket while discussing the races. Good start and you’ll get more listeners if you keep it unbiased.

Oh and you’re wrong about another thing. Not EVERYONE wants someone other than Max to win. I want to see Max decimate every record.
