Maddie and Lauren are sad that this is their last podcast of the year, but that doesn't stop the 4-1-1! This week, the buzz includes WVU announcing that they'll make test-optional admissions permanent, West Virginia University Apartments is raising its rent for the second year in a row, a new finger food restaurant downtown, a ceramic pottery sale, Happy Minds Fest and lots more!

Maddie and Lauren are excited for Earth Day activities on campus, but first this week's buzz, including a new reduction in work policy for WVU employees, a Narcan vending machine, WVU baseball's win over Pitt and their stand with TCU, a bluegrass-inspired love story play, the passing of the Mountaineer rifle, the Blue and Gold game, and pierogi night at Up All Night and lots more! 

The weather outside has been perfect, but Maddie and Lauren still came inside to record this week's DubV 411. This week, they talk about a new task force on campus to address campus carry and general safety, the university announced more deficit concerns, new grad coursework was added to the Women and Gender Studies certificate program, the upcoming baseball Backyard Brawl against Pitt, a WVU Mountaineer Short Film Festival, honoring rape and sexual assault victims, and lots more. 

Maddie is off this week, so Lauren is solo with this week's buzz, including Senator Manchin stopping by WVU for a roundtable on mental health, the University shared more specifics about what the deficit cuts will mean, Carruth is bringing back Mental Health 101, the West Virginia Mountaineer Short Film Festival and much more!

Can Spring come soon enough? Maddie and Lauren are ready for warm weather and the end of this semester, but first they have to spill the tea on this week's buzz, including the university finally fixing the blue light emergency stations around campus, the aftermath of WVU's announcement of a growing deficit and how that will affect the university and students and West Virginia passed a law to protect student journalists.
