45. Are We Really Friends? - Rev. Dr. Patricia McLeod
Are We Really Friends? The Road to Godly Friendships
With Rev. Dr. Patricia McLeod
Empty Nesters, most of the time, our friendships are a blessing. Sometimes, though, they are hard.
Listen in as Charlotte and the Rev. Dr. Patricia McLeod talk about friendships. God has a wonderful design for friendships. Satan does his best to destroy them.
This conversation covers these truths as well as:
How do we place false expectations on friends and have unrealistic presuppositions?
How do we have godly, wholesome, and authentic friendships?
What is God’s design for friendship?
How can we be the friend to others we’d like to have?
It’s time to be liberated from the bondage of erroneous beliefs about friendship and the false expectations we impose on our friends.
Let’s be the friend we want to have.
Our best friend is Jesus. He’s always with us. His friends let Him down, He looked up and turned to His Father. We can too! Let’s lean in, look up and learn from Him.
Dr. McLeod is a Pastor at the International Gathering at Beth Rapha in New York. She serves as Director of Christian Education and Vice President of Beth Rapha Christian College & Theological Seminary, Inc. Parents of Estranged Adult Children
With Aimee Palmer
Estranged from her daughter, on and off for five years, Aimee Palmer has walked a long, confusing, hard, and hurtful road.
So have countless other parents whose children have walked away from a relationship with them.
All too often, a rejected parent or parents often don't know what they did wrong to warrant this type of treatment.

Anger
Despair
Failure
Guilt

Shame
And More
