BIFocal - Clarifying Business Intelligence

I'm new to BI and this show has been a great way to learn the jargon of the profession and start to understand what I'm doing. I highly reccommend it.

Your topics are relevant. But the delivery needs a lot of work. The podcast has a high noise/content ratio. Lots of silly asides and long introductions. For the 5 episodes i listened to, i found it best to skip the first 5 minutes and the last 3 minutes, because the hosts make lots of smalltalk and jokes. None of it is relevant to the listener. And during the conversation, there are a lot of silly asides that can be confusing for those of us who haven't met the hosts. That is distracting in a podcast. There doesn't seem to be any structure to each episode. Instead, it feels like a stream of conscious delivery like you'd get if you just walked up to someone and asked them about the topic.

I really enjoy the content and focus on Microsoft PowerBi and how it’s being used by various groups. I like the attention to how the product is evolving from the desktop and mobile app, to on-prem server, to the service in the cloud. Very useful to get ideas in this space. Keep up the great work, gentlemen!

I've listened to John and Jason at conferences around the globe and they have a great chemistry that makes listening to their podcasts fun. The content is great and I always learn so much. They inspired me to start learning Power BI myself! Thanks guys!
