Everything Action Commentary: Home Alone: The Holiday Heist

For the final Everything Action Commentary of 2025, Zach and Chris are joined by special guests Joe and Sam to finish the holiday tradition of watching every Home Alone movie with the 2012 TV movie, Home Alone: The Holiday Heist. This time, instead of the McCallisters, the Baxter family moves from California to Maine shortly before Christmas.  Unknown to the family, however, is that their new home hides a priceless painting in a hidden vault in the basement, which is the target of veteran thief Sinclair (Malcolm McDowell) and his accomplices Jessica (Debi Mazar) and Hughes (Eddie Steeples).  When their parents go to attend a Christmas party, Finn (Christian Martyn) and his sister Alexis (Jodelle Ferland) are left Home Alone, and Finn has to devise the traps to stop the thieves when Alexis is locked in the basement.  While watching the film, the guys discuss whether Malcolm McDowell breaks his foot off-screen, the fake video game played throughout, whether the movie is a pioneer in swatting someone, drunk Ed Asner, the movie's hint at a supernatural element, and more. You can watch Home Alone: The Holiday Heist on Disney+ and sync it up with our commentary track to watch along. 2. Heat (1995)

    Heat (1995)

This week on the Everything Actioncast, Zach and Chris plan to take down some scores and discuss 1995's Heat, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Based on his earlier TV movie L.A. Takedown, Michael Mann's Heat is a crime/heist classic that has inspired countless films and video games since.  Robert De Niro plays criminal Neil McCauley, who leads a group of professional thieves taking down scores in Los Angeles.  At the same time, Al Pacino plays Detective Vincent Hanna, the cop pursuing Neil and his gang.  Both men are focused on their chosen profession at the expense of everything else, including their personal relationships, and a face-off between them is inevitable.  Zach and Chris discuss why Neil would allow a psycho like Waingro (Kevin Gage) on his crew, the cast full of recognizable faces, Pacino outbursts, the epic bank shootout, and more. You can watch Heat on Paramount+.  Next week, Zach and Chris are closing out 2025 by running down their favorite and least favorite movies of the year. We want to hear your comments and feedback.  Send them all to contact@everythingaction.com.  Also, let us know your suggestions for movies for us to discuss. 3. Freddy's Fridays (2023)

    12/05/2025 · VIDEO

    Freddy's Fridays (2023)

This week on the Everything Actioncast, with Five Nights at Freddy's 2 hitting theaters, Zach and Chris dive into one of FNAF's knockoffs, 2023's Freddy's Fridays. Coming from some of the same team behind the Winnie the Pooh: Blood Honey series, Freddy's Fridays finds a man named Todd Fischer (Jase Rivers) luring sex workers into a creepy murder basement and then forcing them to read Latin text, which summons Freddy (Abu Barry) and his gang of monsters to kill them.  Todd made a deal with Freddy for financial gain, but the cost is nine souls, each sacrificed on a Friday.  The only person seemingly investigating is police officer Lila Jones (Danielle Scott), who eventually goes undercover to find out what's happening to all the missing women.  Zach and Chris discuss whether Freddy and his gang are demons or animatronics, how Todd found his murder warehouse, why Lila's influencer flatmate is a better investigator than the actual police, why Freddy starts breaking his own rules, and more. You can watch Freddy's Fridays on Tubi or The Roku Channel.  Next week, we're heading into the Amazon to revisit Anaconda as the meta remake is coming out later this month, and the original is getting a new 4K release. We want to hear your comments and feedback.  Send them all to contact@everythingaction.com.  Also, let us know your suggestions for movies for us to discuss. 4. Robot Jox (1990)

    11/21/2025 · VIDEO

    Robot Jox (1990)

This week on the Everything Actioncast, Zach and Chris climb into some mech cockpits and discuss 1990's Robot Jox, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary. One of the final films from Charles Band's Empire Pictures, Robot Jox is set in a world that was devastated by a nuclear war 50 years earlier.  All conflicts between the two factions that control Earth, The Market and The Confederation, are now done via one on one competitions between giant mechs piloted by robot jox.  Achilles (Gary Graham) is the main jox for The Market while the bloodthirsty Alexander (Paul Koslo) is the jox for The Confederation.  They face off to determine which faction will gain control of Alaska and it's valuable resources.  Zach and Chris discuss the interesting world building on the fringes of the movie, how there should be some more safeguards to stop the mech matches, how it may have influenced things like G Gundam and Pacific Rim, the bizarre jox training exercises and more. You can watch Robot Jox on Tubi.  Next week, we enter the ring with Rocky and discuss Rocky IV for its 40th anniversary. We want to hear your comments and feedback.  Send them all to contact@everythingaction.com.  Also, let us know your suggestions for movies for us to discuss.
