Emily is doing a series with past clients to allow them to share their personal growth journey of evolving. Each client has a very different experience and we are so honored to be sharing some of them. Valentina has a unique story in that she has gone through multiple rounds of the Evolve X program. She started her evolving journey with the program in January of 2021. Instead of 3 months of experience, she has a full year to share with us. Valentina shares that what made her want to continue with the program was the community and accountability. She says surrounding yourself with other people who have one common interest of wanting to change and grow is key. Valentina also shares that the weekly reviews helped her prepare for each week ahead and also allowed her to reflect on her wins from the past week. She is very honest with her journey and says at first she went through some waves of being on top of things and slipping up. She states that she learned from those slip ups and they actually helped her to be better next time. The program really helped her learn how to bounce back and not let one thing ruin your entire day. She also shares that the program helped her discover who she was, find her identity and to have the freedom to stay authentic to who she is. 218. Finding Purpose, Community & Owning Who You Are w/ Beckie Venard

In today’s episode, Emily has a very special guest, Beckie Venard. Beckie is a client of Emily’s Evolve X mentorship program. Emily is doing a series with past clients to allow them to share their personal growth journey of evolving. Each client has a very different experience and we are so honored to be sharing some of them. Being from a small town, Beckie shares how she has always thought of herself as an outsider. She desperately was seeking community and like minded individuals in her life who were passionate about evolving. That was one of the reasons she joined the Evolve X program. Beckie shares that a big part of the program that was an impact on her was becoming more self aware and how important the journal prompts were in helping her increase her self awareness. Beckie states that she struggled talking to people and felt that being the quiet one was holding her back and hindering her as a personal trainer and host of her show Relentlessly Fit Podcast. But as she went through the program she really started to own being an introvert and realized it was part of her purpose. Every week the program focuses on a different topic and she shares about her hardest week in the program, how she got through it and what she learned from it. Beckie says the program gave her confidence and helped her build consistency which has been life changing for her. Listen to hear Beckie’s full evolving journey and what advice she gives to the new group that are about to start on theirs.

Emily is doing a series with past clients to allow them to share their personal growth journey of evolving. Each client has a very different experience and we are so honored to be sharing some of them. Karla was ready to make some changes in her life and hit the ground running before the new year, so she signed up for the final round of Evolve X of 2021. Karla also talks about getting sober and how it has helped her make the most of her days and how her relationships have gotten better because of it. Other struggles she was able to address during the program was making herself a priority, trusting in herself to make decisions and getting out of the habit of people pleasing. 216. Is Your Environment Holding You Back?

    216. Is Your Environment Holding You Back?

In today’s episode, Emily talks about how important your environment is to evolving. Your environment includes your home, the people in your life, your work place, what you watch or listen to, anything you surround yourself with. Are any of those things holding you back from being the best version of you? How much influence do those things have on your decisions? She also talks about finding your gifts and talents and being intentional about how you bring those things out of you in order to share them with the world. You may not realize that what you’re currently choosing is actually doing the opposite and is killing those gifts and talents. You may be really holding yourself back from success due to your environment being so comfortable for you. Are you scared to leave that comfort? Every day is a gift and it is up to you to live each day to the fullest and to challenge yourself to be better. If you give it you’re all, you will not fail. Don’t stay stuck. Don’t stay predictable. Don’t stay small. Choose better for yourself and go ALL IN ON YOU! Take that leap of faith and it will be what changes the trajectory of your life. Know there’s more out there, it just requires you to take that step forward. Evolving isn’t always pretty or easy. Sometimes you say yes to things, sometimes you say no to things. You have to be willing to struggle and get out of your comfort zone in order to reach the next best version of you. That’s today’s message.

    215. Finding Purpose, Being Authentic & Living Intentionally w/ Connor Trott

In today’s episode, Emily has guest Connor Trott. Connor is a new athlete for Alphalete, JYM Supplement athlete, owner of Connor Trott Fitness and Connor Trott Finance. You may also recognize him from Love Island USA where he was a contestant on. Emily and Connor just recently met when he came to visit Alphaland in Houston. They discuss how starting on your own journey to evolving may begin with helping yourself but it ends up helping others as well. The two then dive into Connor’s move across the country to LA and what made him decide he needed a change of scenery. Connor says he had a longing to experience something new and a chance to figure everything out on his own. He talks about how he ended up on Love Island through his Instagram and his experience with being on the show. Both Connor and Emily have a large platform so the two discuss why it’s important to stay authentic on social media and not try to be what everyone expects you to be. They talk about how having an online community is an amazing thing but prioritizing in person relationships is vital to feeling true connection in life. Listen to hear the rest of this awesome conversation between friends.

    214. Breaking Self Sufficiency

    214. Breaking Self Sufficiency

In today’s Monday Message, Emily talks about breaking self sufficiency. The survival instinct in us turns on our self sufficiency in order to get through hard things. We rely only on ourselves to make it through. You may not have had to work through breaking this habit but if you have, you know it can be very difficult. It is important to allow others to step in and help you and show up for you. You may have always felt alone and you continue to battle on your own. You may see asking for help as weak. Of course there’s things and experiences in life we must all do on our own, but there are times when it’s healthy to lean on someone else. We all need someone to listen to us, encourage us, support us and when we don’t lean into those relationships we will always rely on ourselves which isn’t always a good thing. Leaning on a friend, a family member and God can help us get through the hardest moments in life and sometimes helps us get through them sooner than we would if we relied on just ourselves. We don’t want to focus too much on what’s wrong in our lives so it’s so important to allow others to lift us up and to move forward. Protect your focus and be intentional about it. Allow others to show up for you. That’s today's message.
