In this episode, I’m talking with Katie Mason, a licensed professional counselor and holistic health practitioner, about something I think so many of us need to understand better: our nervous system. Katie explains biofeedback, how it can help us become more aware of what’s happening in our bodies, and why learning to regulate those physical responses can be such a powerful part of healing. We also talk about trauma, chronic stress, burnout, and that uncomfortable realization that sometimes what feels “normal” to us isn’t actually calm or necessarily healthy at all. And if you’ve ever wondered why knowing what you should do isn’t always enough to actually feel better, you’ll want to hear this conversation. We get into the science, the mind body connection, and how biofeedback can give you another tool for reclaiming a sense of control over your own body.
