    God’s Sufficient Grace (2Cor 12:7-10) | Ptr. Rein Arlegui, Feb 22, 2026 How can you continue if you are in so much pain? The paradox of grace is not to spare us from trouble but to transform our heart to discover strength in weakness. Paul had encountered so many life-threatening troubles (see 2Cor 1:6-8; 6:8-10) yet the more he became resilient by grace. 1. Grace that Breaks Pride v.7b 2. Grace that Builds Trust v.8-9 3. Grace that Brings Strength v.10 What sustains you when the thorn of suffering pierces deeply into your heart and leaves you overwhelmed and weak? It is the sufficiency of God's grace that sustains us. Paul's testimony reminds us that suffering is not wasted because it humbles our pride, teaches us to trust in Christ's power, and reveals that true strength is found not in ourselves but in Him. When weakness overwhelms, grace becomes the anchor that supports, strengthens, and satisfies the soul.

    From Mourning to Dancing (Psalm 30:8-12) | Rev. Herman Moldez, Feb 15, 2026 Life is not friend as we wish it to be. We will be hurt. We will mourn our pain. But God, in His faithfulness will wash our sorrow as we cry for mercy. He will put a new song in our hearts to lift us up to dance with joy. Journeys in life are not always easy. Sometimes it is the mountain peak of Hallelujah. But often it's going through the valley of sorrow. We suffer losses. We struggle down the pit, nursing our pain. Jesus calls us to take up our cross to follow him. We need a proper perspective. Let's learn to embrace seasons of grief. Our tendency is to escape the pain, trying to forget the hurts of life. But in resisting we only repress it to appear with ugly face. The beginning of healing is the humble acceptance of life's reality to cry for God's mercy. Suffering is an experience of spiritual growth. If we could see our little problem in the larger perspective of God's love, then we learn to trust and slowly transform. We know God more deeply not in success but in suffering. Pain purifies the false self to grow our true self, created in the image of Christ. If we accept hurt to allow God to heal us, grieving becomes a place of growing to be equipped with songs of gladness to endure the difficult path. Deep mourning of lament leads to a whirling dance of joy. God's mercy washes sorrow to strengthen hope for the journey. "Lord, let our brokenness become a blessing. Lead us to discover the hidden joy in our sorrow." What prevents your shifting from mourning to dancing?

    Finding Strength in God’s Presence (Exo 33:7-17) | Rev. Herman Moldez, Feb 8, 2026 The burden of leading God’s people to the Promised Land was too overwhelming. Moses could not do if God would not journey with them. God promised to abide with His presence to find rest in a wearisome journey. How will you find rest to sustain a long journey? What keeps you going to persevere in a perilous journey? Moses says it is the experience of the presence of God. Unless we cultivate living in God's presence it is easy to lose heart when the going gets rough. God's presence is the fuel to burn our hearts to keep going. How will you seek and sense God's presence? Carve a sacred space to be alone with God to commune in His love. God's love burning in your heart is a soul force to give strength. You stay in the divine presence by abiding with God in your daily work and walk in God's path and perspective. The practice of awareness of God by noticing His hidden presence in the ordinary enables you to live in the center where God reigns. How intense is your longing for God? May we all be like Joshua who stayed at the door of the tent meeting, in holy envy of Moses who met with God face to face as one speaks to a friend (v.11).

    Strength For the Journey (Sermon Series) The journey to the future is not a smooth trip. There are difficulties and disappointments to losing our heart. Unless we develop an inner resilience to persevere, we are tempted to give up. We need to cultivate spiritual disciplines to develop strength of being to continue what God has invited us to join Him in the new beginning He has started us. The Holy Spirit is given to equip believers with God’s presence and power. If we welcome the Holy Spirit to infuse divine energy, we can develop a soul force of love and life to meet the challenges and crises in the journey. How do we do this? The sermon series this February 2026 will focus on Jacob, Moses, David, and Paul to learn from their experiences to develop spiritual Strength for the Journey. Through their spiritual practice and perspective. They serve as soul guides to develop inner resilience in life’s journey. Broken To Be a Blessing (Gen 32:22-30) | Rev. Herman Moldez, Feb 1, 2026 Jacob, through his canning dealings survived and became successful. He got the blessing due to his twin brother Esau in exchange of a bowl of soup by deception. As he faced Esau, he was devising his last option to survive. God wrestled with him in Jabbok to wrench his hip. Deeply broken, he sought God’s blessing. He received a new name, from Jacob the deceiver to Israel the overcomer.

We must listen to Jesus only even if others consider us fools to be faithful to him. Jesus Christ is the chosen one. What is the source of your guidance to follow Jesus? Living a new journey with God is the way of discipleship. We listen to Jesus to discern His call to follow Him. We listen well by the practice of communion of love in solitude. It is to be with Jesus in prayer to deepen loving relationship with God. But it is not to listen when life becomes hard. Contemplation enables us to look at suffering to see Christ's glory. We listen as we see Christ revealed even as we go through trials and troubles. We need to center our life to God to see everything where God is making all things new. We need to slow down in life's busyness to be with Jesus to look and listen to Jesus' invitation to follow Him to the unknown. How will you set your life to create a sacred space to listen to Jesus?

God calls us to participate in His great project to bring all creation under His rule. We must see what God is doing to get on board to a new adventure with God. Are things you want to do for God the work of God? In John 5, Jesus healed the invalid for 38 years to continue and connect to work of God. God is continuing His work to sustain the life of people, creatures, and creation He made. We are God's partner in His work. We contemplate to see the work of God He reveals about His great project to redeem the world. Let us connect to join the work of God as His servants to advance the kingdom in 2026. What do you see God is doing where you are? How will you align your activities with the agenda of God?

    A New Journey with God (January Sermon Series) In many ways the journey of the coming year will be the same. The Preacher observes there is nothing new under the sun (Eccl 1:9). The world’s trouble will stay. Traffic stress may even get worse. Corruption will not be solved. Sickness and suffering will be part of life. But a new world order has come. The first Advent has introduced the presence of the Kingdom invading every part of life. Christ has bound the strong man. The Holy Spirit indwells us to experience God’s presence and power. We now live as new creation people where heaven and earth meet. Problems are not fully solved. Yet the signs of salvation are at work. Our sins are forgiven. We are being sanctified. We are bearing the fruits of life in our brokenness. We step into a new year of journey. God invites to explore life under His rule, right in the middle where we struggle to experience something new. The old will pass away. The ordinary will be filled with glory. We will discover God at work where we wrestle with evil. We reach out to God to hold our hands to lead us even in places we don’t want to go. Invitation to Begin with God (Rev 21:1-5) | Rev. Herman Moldez, Jan 4, 2026 The incarnation of Jesus Christ is like heaven coming down on earth. The kingdom dawn to usher a new day. Christ’s presence is God dwelling with us. In Christ, the new creation has started. We are invited to start something new with God. What do you wish things could be different in your life but feeling helpless? Instead of wishful thinking, learn to welcome that things could be new with God. Imagine you start the day to seize something new to make things different. We are invited to join God making all things new. How? We LET GO of the past ... TO LOOK GOD at the present ... where He is working to transform our brokenness into beauty of Christlikeness. If we see God, let us LIVE TO BEGIN with God in making all things new in 2026. Think: Where does God invite you to begin an adventure of making things new?
