    Liquid Sunshine: 21Kilometers of Praise

    After an incredible, offline vacation back home in the Philippines, I’m back behind the mic! In this Episode, I'm sharing the raw, wet, and beautiful reality of running the Freiburg Half Marathon. My first ever half-marathon. First and foremost, this 21k run was an offering of praise to God—a small gift back to Him for His endless blessings.     In this episode of JILax, Life Seasoned, We are going to explore the hidden struggle of the "Expat Identity." Inspired by a chance encounter at TEDx Freiburg and realizations working at the time I was working in a neuro-rehabilitation clinic, I'll dive into the paralyzing fear of waiting to be "perfect" before being really "present." We often feel useless when we can't find the right words or "fix" a situation, especially in a new language is also ij play. But drawing from speaker Florian Weber’s insights, this will be a reminder that in moments of crisis or connection, people don’t need a mechanic—they need a witness. Whether at a patient's bedside or a coffee break, your "mere presence" carries more weight than an excellent language proficiency ever could.
