    Or perhaps you wake up at night with anxiety and can't go back to sleep?

     

    I know how you feel.

     

    Well, I don't suffer from much anxiety these days, but there was a time I used to wake up feeling anxious or found it hard to fall asleep.

     

    This always coincided with when my head was full of 'stuff', I have been working in the evening or just engaging in some 'social media' at night!

     

    So now I know better not to do any of that to make sure I go to sleep easily and have a way to get back to sleep if I do wake up.

     

    If you are like most women I work with, then the chances are you too might find it hard to go to sleep because you are full of anxiety at night.

    Do you ever get the feeling that no matter what you do, How Hard you work, and how many sacrifices you make for others, you are heard, valued or appreciated by others {{ first_name }}?

     

    I get it.

     

    This is how you used to feel.

     

     I lived like this for many years, and after a while, I realised I lived to get some appreciation from others without even realising it.

     

    It was great when I got it, but when I didn't my world inside would fall apart. I felt crushed.

     

    After being so frustrated and angry with the outside world for such a long time, I realised it was ME causing this all.

     

    I was too busy looking for that validation and appreciation from others, but I didn't even realise I wasn't showing it to myself!

     

    This realisation started my whole journey to become a coach to help others.

    It is YOU who says YES to all, except for yourself... is it not?

     

    Yet you might find that people are never there when you need them!

     

    They always have something to be unhappy about and complain about.

     

    They don't even appreciate half the stuff you do for them

    You see Tulay, it is not your job to make other people happy!

     

    Being happy is a decision everyone gets to take for themselves. No matter what you do to make them happy, they will not be happy until they decide to be.

     

    So it is time to STOP trying to make people happy and focus on your happiness.

    We are talking about feeling good enough - or not feeling good enough as the case maybe.

     

    One of my clients said this is how she felt before we started our coaching journey together: “No matter how much I achieve and what job title I have I will never feel good enough! I was seeking the credibility, legitimacy and approval of others.”

     

    You might be feeling the same.  

     

    It was as if her value depended on how much other people saw it and validated it. This is why she spent most of her time to have that validation and ended up with burnout.

     

    You see, your value does not depend on other people's ability to see it! It depends on how much you value yourself! Because other people, don't care about you, they care about themselves and therefore their interpretation of YOUR value might change depending on how much you do for them, how much they need you or how useful they think you are.

     

    ...and you guessed, this can change! But your value doesn't.

     

    Today we talked about why women like you (and J- my client) never feel like they are good enough and what you can do to change that even if you are not confident in yourself!
