    In this episode of WaveCast, host Eugenie interviews Dr. Maxime Geoffroy, a Marine Institute research scientist who recently completed a 50-day, 2000-kilometer kayaking expedition in the Canadian Arctic. Dr. Geoffroy, an expert in bioacoustics, marine ecology, and biological oceanography, has dedicated much of his career to studying the Arctic.     In this episode, host Kerri dives into the Nautical Skills Competition, an annual event hosted by the Master Mariners of Canada NL Division in collaboration with Fisheries and Marine Institute. This competition challenges Nautical Science and Marine Engineering students to test their maritime abilities through a series of exercises, including vessel docking in high winds, fast rescue craft operations, and emergency situations.
