Why So Many Kids Are Picky Eaters and What to Do About It | With Dr. Tom Moorcroft, Full Cup Life

Why So Many Kids Are Picky Eaters and What to Do About It | With Dr. Tom Moorcroft, Full Cup Life

Why So Many Kids Are Picky Eaters and What to Do About It
Katie Kimball is an author, entrepreneur, teacher of a Wall Street Journal recommended online cooking class, and a mother of four. She explains how to deal with picky eaters, and get kids to willingly eat healthy foods. In conversation with Dr. Tom Moorcroft, Katie explains how to get kids to develop a healthy relationship with food, and in turn, grow into independent, resilient adults. Find the inspiration you need for your picky eater at home.

    Top Tips
It is not the job of parents to get their kids to eat. By removing the stress and control over the whole process of eating, parents can help picky eaters eat healthy, whole foods. Sensory overload and environmental toxins around us are often the reasons why kids are so fussy about the food they will eat and not eat.  Give kids choice, control, and agency to help them develop a healthy relationship with food. Getting kids into the kitchen is a good way to get them interested in food. Let kids cook, and experiment with different foods and textures to get them invested in the process of cooking. Kids should be allowed to handle age-appropriate kitchen tools, even knives. It is especially important to get boys involved in the process of cooking, for parents to bring up healthy, independent, self-reliant individuals. Dr. Tom Moorcroft’s Full Cup Life Podcast has benefitted numerous people, helping them achieve greatness and supercharge healing. Top Tips
Robert Richman was the culture strategist at Zappos and co-founded Zappos Insights. He speaks to Dr. Tom Moorcroft about leadership, life, success, feedback, and about training leaders to achieve mindset changes and move beyond blockages. Xpill is something that Robert Richman came up with, essentially like an open-labeled placebo designed to help people find their passion and align their actions to their goals. A real leader is one who listens to others first and speaks last. This is the best way to understand the feelings and capabilities of people and to effectively assign work, and delegate. When we speak about going out of the comfort zone, this is about being uncomfortable with something unfamiliar but not to the point of being overwhelmed. That is the point where it can become counterproductive. Getting feedback isn't about hearing only positive things from people. It is about hearing what one doesn’t want to hear. Only when one expresses the negative can they communicate the positive effectively. Dr. Tom Moorcroft’s Full Cup Life Podcast has benefitted numerous people, helping them achieve greatness and supercharge healing. Dr. Tom Moorcroft speaks to motivational and keynote speaker Norman Gräter in this episode of Full Cup Life. Check out this fascinating chat about the most effective ways to reach life goals and to enhance the experience of that journey. Find out why it’s important to be in the moment and to commit to it fully, and get inspired to never lower your standards, but to expect others to rise to the expectations and standards you set. Listen now!

    Top Tips

The uncomfortable and unpleasant things in life are not necessarily bad or unnecessary. In fact, it is these things that give us a keener appreciation for all the good there is in life, and we benefit from understanding the contrast between the two.

Assumption determines experience. Our assumptions have the power to predict and even actualize goals. If you assume that which you desire, the future becomes the present and your assumption will be fulfilled.

We may think that the Universe failed to deliver the gifts that we expected from it, but the Universe will deliver. It may not deliver in the form you expect and it may not deliver exactly when you think it should, but it will deliver -- if only one can learn to recognize them.

One's focus should not be fixed on the result. The focus should be upon developing a reality we can inhabit and this will free us up to many results and many possibilities. Be in the moment and inhabit it fully.

Develop clarity about your goals and what you want from life. Don’t lower your standards and don’t compromise on what you know you deserve. It is up to others around to come up to the level that you inhabit. Raise others up, don’t let yourself down.

Trevor Hash, Elite Movement Coach, of Primal Athlete Talks to Dr. Tom Moorcroft About His Journey

In this episode of the Full Cup Life podcast, Dr. Tom Moorcroft catches up with Trevor Hash of Primal Athlete. We trace Trevor’s journey from pain and repeated injuries over ten years, to the path of corrective exercise and finding freedom in his own body. Trevor is a super-fit athlete, and a movement and lifestyle coach, who shares his mantras for making peace with one's own body, acknowledging stress, and not apportioning blame. Listen now!

    Top Tips
The seeming setbacks we experience in life are actually learning opportunities. These are bits of information that help us move forward. How we interpret the ‘setbacks’ is the key to overcoming them. Fear can sometimes manifest in the body in physical ways. We may hamper progress simply because we are scared of how the body will react to a new therapy or a different approach. We need to take that leap of faith. We often shy away from doing things because the apprehension of being judged may be deeply and physiologically ingrained. However, overcoming that apprehension can be freeing and joyous, and could actually turn into one's passion. It is important to have a morning routine where one creates certain positive habits – some minutes of movement to start the day. Just a few minutes can have beneficial impacts and could feel as though one has meditated for half an hour. Very often, people don’t realize when they are stressed and how much that stress affects them. It is important to acknowledge that stress and to work at organizing one’s mental space accordingly. Dr. Tom Moorcroft’s Full Cup Life Podcast has benefitted numerous people, helping them achieve greatness and supercharge healing. Listen to this episode to hear his inspiring and transformative conversation with Trevor Hash.

Trevor Hash is a movement coach like no other. There’s no better way to get to know him than with his own words: Do it right the first time.

I spent years trying to figure everything out on my own.  I learned what works, and I learned what doesn’t. But more importantly, I wasted precious time learning the hard way that a coach can save you your precious time. There are plenty of great coaches out there.

Here’s what I can guarantee you that many other coaches cannot: an open conversation. I’ve used many online programs and worked with coaches who withhold their “why’s” for their closest disciples. I don’t want to keep my methods a secret. I will give you your program, and if you’re interested in the “why” behind anything in it, I’m all for discussing it. I want to help you understand your body better. It will speed up your own progress. And it elevates us all as a community and society. I want it to become common knowledge that moving your spine is not only safe but Necessary. And that your shoulder blades shouldn’t always be “back and down.” I want to spread quality knowledge to you in the hopes that you will spread the knowledge as well.
