39 episodes

Fully & Completely with Greg & Jamie is not your typical music podcast. Ordinary was never an option given its ingredients.
First of all, the podcast examines one of the most engaging and enigmatic bands in Canadian history, The Tragically Hip. But even more than that, those hosts.
Greg & Jamie are not only passionate fans of the band and the legacy the Hip carved out, but they are also fans of music in general. From the craft and construct of a song to the interpretation and feel of the lyrics and music, these two leave no stone unturned when it comes to breaking down the discography of the Hip.
Each episode, the co-hosts mine their collective memories for stories that help provide context for the music they are unpacking. They explore the cultural and pop-culture landscape to give their audience—the passionate and outspoken Fully & Completists—a true sense of the time and place that the music was first created and consumed.
This holistic approach, coupled with a track-by-track breakdown, forms the body of the show, but the glue that holds it all together is the chemistry, charm and humour that LeGros and Dew bring to the table.
Ultimately, if you're a Tragically Hip super-fan, this show is essential. But even if you're just beginning your journey to Hip-Headom then there is no better place to start than downloading and listening to Fully & Completely with Greg & Jamie.

The Hip USA

Was turned on to the hip while doing work up in Canada in early 2000. Have been a massive fan ever since with multiple shows and own all of their albums. This podcast has been a fantastic re-introduction to a band I love.

Excellent Hip Podcast

I just found this over the weekend and thrilled to catch up on these episodes (only have heard 3 so far). There are 25 and it will probably take a month to get through them and if I have further comments I'll pass them along.

I listened last night to the WATS podcast and then this morning to the EP and yer letters. Since the WATS one is the most recent, I'm glad that they have cut back on the gratuitous and unnecssary swearing. We all curse, but F bombs every 2 minutes are a bit much guys. Otherwise keep up the great work.

Great

I love it, of course. I might be the biggest American Hip fan. It’s so interesting to hear these songs dissected and to get the Canadian perspective on the Hip, which I really don’t know much about.

The only issue is pretty significant though. I understand setting the scene, but I am baffled by how much time is spent explaining the musical landscape at the time of an album’s release before getting started. I’ve actually turned a few episodes off because half an hour goes by and it’s just rambling about all sorts of different bands. I don’t understand why you would ever spend more than a few minutes with that.

Update: I actually like the deep dive into the music climate now. Five stars.
