    #138- Do A'den: Summer of Sabbath- Revisited

    Well, we’ve made it to the end of Summer of Sabbath— Revisited. And after an entire summer of revisiting lessons I first talked about two years ago, I’ve learned something very important: I’m still learning them. Womp, womp. This week's episode starts with a 2-year-old, one very patient aunt, and nine consecutive rides on the Frog Hopper at Hersheypark. (“Do a’den. Do a’den.”) Because maybe revisiting the same lesson doesn’t mean we haven’t grown.     #137- Results May Vary: Summer of Sabbath- Revisited

    Two years ago, I sat nervously waiting on a test result, trying not to make it mean something it didn’t. I thought I understood the lesson pretty well at the time. That's cute. 😅 Now, after one emotional college drop-off, I’m apparently taking another trip around the same mountain. This week on Glordinary, we’re revisiting results, our love of control, and what God might be up to when things don’t unfold quite the way we expected. Because results do matter.     In a few days, my house is going to feel a little emptier as we move our daughter into her college dorm. A moment of silence for all the college-drop-off mamas. Ha! But as I watch her room slowly empty, it has me thinking about empty spaces. Two years ago, we talked about intentionally making room for them, choosing empty spaces. But what about the empty spaces we don’t choose? This week, we’re heading back to the Canadian Rockies—yes, again—to talk about canyon echoes, learning to recognize the voice of God, and the gift of Sabbath space. Because maybe empty doesn’t mean absent.     REPLAY #24- Sounds Boring: Sabbath (Empty) Spaces

    A Summer of Sabbath Replay Episode! Enjoy, my Friend!  What’s your go-to boredom buster? Let me guess, you don’t have time to be bored! Oh, but Friend, we do and we are. Boring spots? Yep, these are the empty spaces, the gaps, between our flurry of activities. We’re not exactly comfortable with boring, empty spaces…in our schedules or our hearts. Cue Sabbath! Join me as we chat through our discomfort and desperate desire to cram life full-to-the-brim!     #135- Too Grown-Up To Play? : Summer of Sabbath- Revisited

    I wasn’t planning to write an episode this week. I was planning to replay an old one, tackle the post-vacation laundry mountain, and call it good. Then one last unexpected hike in the Canadian Rockies changed the plan. Two years after first sharing the story of how I learned to “play my way through,” I’m wondering if maybe we’ve gotten play all wrong. Is it something we’re supposed to outgrow—or something God keeps inviting us back into? With dancing water, frolicking sea creatures, one very disappointing moose sighting, and a little help from Psalm 104, we’re rediscovering wonder, delight, and the God who built both right into His creation.
