Grieving Overdose Death
This podcast was created to give a voice to those who have lost someone close to them from an accidental overdose. Parents, spouses, sisters, brothers and others will be interviewed to celebrate the life of their loved one who died from an overdose and to remember this person as more than their addiction. We will explore how others cope and pass on this information to those who are grieving and feel they have nowhere to turn. Unfortunately, there are many out there and the numbers are growing every day. If you would like to tell your story about the life of your loved one who died from an accidental overdose, the struggles you both faced, and how you are coping, please email your request to Susan Claire at grievingoverdosedeath@gmail.com. The views expressed by guests on this podcast are their own. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/grieving-overdose-death/id1462181055
Grateful
٢٩ ذو الحجة
I take comfort in listening to this podcast, hearing others’ stories whom I can completely relate. It gives a voice to those who no longer have one and allows for a therapeutic experience to the ones left behind. I was interviewed by Susan, who allowed me to tell my brothers’ stories, which was very cathartic. She was so gentle, kind and compassionate. This podcast does not only help with the grieving/healing process, it humanizes the victims of this deadly epidemic. They were more than just “an addict” whose lives were cut way too short in such a tragic and senseless way; they were our brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, etc.. Thank you, Susan, for providing us with the comfort we so desperately crave during these tragic times, but even more so for helping bring awareness and detaching the stigma from these deaths that are happening more frequently every day. I, for one, am beyond grateful that you choose to take your time to provide us with this outlet. I will forever be a listener.
Meaningful and compassionate

Many times I share our family’s story with someone who has NOT experienced our loss - I appreciate the opportunity but there is something very special about talking to another mom who’s heart has been broken like mine. These stories are hard but necessary to share and my hope is that we all find some healing by being in community together. Thank you, Susan, for such a place.

Susan was extremely kind, compassionate and easy to open up to. I enjoyed telling my sisters story with her and it felt really powerful to share and spread awareness. I feel extremely thankful to have met Susan and for her platform. I would interview with her again anytime. Thank you, Susan.
Refreshing

I’m the mist of tragic tales I find it refreshing to be able to relate to the grievances. I relate to the stigma of these accidental losses and I can sympathize with the motions of trying to navigate through.
