Little Happier: Does a Teddy Bear Comfort You, Even Now?

Author John Green’s reflection on the moment when he realized that he was no longer comforted by his teddy bear is a reminder that although we do outgrow much of the comfort we get from a warm, soft teddy bear, perhaps we don’t wholly outgrow it.

Little Happier: Nebraska’s Tourist Slogan Offers a Valuable—and Hilarious—Lesson in Happiness

Nebraska’s hilarious tourist slogan demonstrates that it’s often most effective to admit the truth, even when that truth might not be terribly flattering or impressive. Have a sense of humor, be willing to poke fun at yourself or the situation, and admit the facts.

My podcast at bedtime

I love Gretchen’s and Elizabeth’s optimism and the “happy” info I get from their podcasts. They calm my over-active brain at bedtime, so you can say that they are my adult, ADHD-brain type of lullaby.

Enjoyable and educational

My daughter turned me onto this podcast several months ago and I have faithfully listen to it ever since. Elizabeth and Gretchen do a great job giving tips and encouragement on how to live your best life. It’s also a great break from political podcasts.

My centering moment every week

I have followed Gretchen since “The Happiness Project” but barely hopped on the podcast this year.
I have enjoyed it. I downloaded the 21 for 21. It is happy, upbeat, and provides practical tips. Love it.
