A mid-century semi-detached house in a quiet little corner of Shropshire, England. An outwardly ordinary family home where four generations of the same family were born and raised. Not the sort of place you’d expect to be haunted… And yet, for a time it seems, one of those family members was reluctant leave, even in the afterlife. 13. 52 Maple Street

A much-loved family home in a Southern town. A nostalgic piece of a Nashville musician’s personal past, now no longer standing. The haunted house on Maple Street is, itself, a ghost… long since burned to the ground, lost to the ether. It once harboured the spirit of a small child. A mischievous little boy who was both seen and sensed by the family members who lived and spent time there. Music Credit: Steven Bowman feat. Shari Rowe, Maple (intro); Nesrality feat. Built with the pilfered bricks of nearby Kirkham Priory, this stately Jacobean manor house has been living under a dark curse for over 400 years. It is said that the sons of all its owners will be doomed to premature deaths and their families destined to a lifetime of happiness. So, maybe not the perfect family home… Music: Johann Sebastian Bach, ‘Toccata in D Minor’ via RoyaltyFreeMusic (intro); Johann Sebastian Bach, ‘Little Fugue in G Minor’ via CM& Me Creative Commons (theme).

Waiting for more

The narrator and music make this a relaxing and informative series of spooky, true hauntings. I always get sad when five star podcasts end way too soon.

Better than chocolate

You are more deliciously spooky and fun than a decadent box of Belgian chocolate truffles. Just love this podcast while gardening!!!!
