66. How to Build Your Audacious Resilience When Things Don't Go As Planned with Dr. Neeta Bhushan The Brave Table with Dr. Neeta Bhushan

    • Mental Health

How do you handle life when things don’t go your way? Whether with your significant other, a friend, or while working on a project—when it all goes to sh*t, what's your initial reaction? Do you withdraw or go into victim mode and say, "why me"? Do you keep yourself busy to avoid the pain?

We all have our coping mechanisms during challenging moments— both the "small t" traumas and the "big T" ones. I went through SO many big T Traumas in my life that my nervous system adapted to dealing with tough times; I was in constant survival mode. But now, during this season of life as a mama, it's more about those mini, uh-oh moments we face every day that can also turn our world upside down.

Because of everything I’ve been through, I've learned the secret to how we can strengthen our ability to bounce back from whatever life throws our way. So, I developed a framework I call the Bounce Factor. It looks at the 4 aspects of your life that determine your audacious resiliency. In this episode, I'm going to walk you through this framework and how it will help you to nurture healthy positive responses to life's sucky moments.

I'm so excited to be sharing this with you all! It's from my upcoming book, That Sucked, Now What?, which will be available for pre-order soon and will come with lots of freebies and goodies when you grab an early-bird copy! Stay tuned…
