Best music podcast anywhere

Maybe the best podcast period.

Take a blender, throw in a PhD in music composition, a decades-long career in academia, a natural talent for writing, speaking, and tinkering with microphones and software. Mix in some serious saxophone chops and a self-deprecating sense of humor and blend the whole mess on high for a while. Then just pour it into your ears via Bluetooth and enjoy. Very tasty.

Excellent

Dr. McGowan was my favorite professor in college. When I found out about his podcast I was so glad to continue to learn from him. The way he explains How Music Does That in his class and with this podcast makes me appreciate music on a whole different level. I also like that this podcast can be enjoyed by all, you don’t have to have an extensive music background to grasp these concepts. Very excited to keep listening.

Interesting, Fun and Informative!

Such a neato podcast. It is interesting, fun, funny, and informative. If you like music, you will like it, if you like science, you will like it, if you like curiosity, you will like it. Dale’s laid-back personality and his honest enthusiasm for the subject matter makes it easy to want to be a music theory scholar!
