How to Differentiate Between Type 1 vs Type 2 Diabetes This Podcast Burns Fat!

    • Health & Fitness

A diagnosis of diabetes isn’t just a diagnosis of diabetes.  It is important to know the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes.  They are two distinct conditions that require different approaches to management and treatment.  And while blood sugar and insulin are key players in both, knowing the difference between the two types of diabetes can help people understand their own risk factors and take steps to prevent or manage the condition.
To help us navigate these differences, we invited Melissa Slemp to the show.  Melissa is known as the Blood Sugar Boss and is the founder of Abundant Health with Melissa.  She is a health coach and has been living with type 1 diabetes for 40 years.  She noticed changes in her hormones and insulin needs once she hit menopause and set out to make it her mission to help women manage their own diabetes.
