    She is Becoming.. Jimiliz.  This episode, we chat with Dr. Jimiliz Valiente - Neighbours. Qlehd and Hanna met Dr. V at Point Loma Nazarene University, where she keenly welcomes all Point Loma students with wide arms and celebration. At Loma, she’s “mother-ed” the student body - opening up traditionally taboo conversations, encouraging curiosity, and continually pointing back to the purpose and power of education. In this episode, she shares about her personal experience with: pregnancy loss, infertility, parenthood, tenure, and health journey. Her path of becoming is a testament to the brazen and beautiful ability to simultaneously hold space for the past, present, and future. Jess reminds us that the intentionality exerted to create safety and belonging for others is also vital to our own well-being. She is a woman who enters vulnerable spaces brazenly and fights to grow the table - seeking justice, evolving boundaries, and shepherding a community of both younger and older peers.  In this episode, M'Lynn talks reputation, escapism, the realization that she hasn't allowed herself to be happy, and why SpongeBob is her go-to TV show. It's not her awareness of the limitations of her circumstances, but her fierce pursuit of holiness, justice, and vulnerability that sets her apart.
