The Habits I’m Finally Letting Go Of

We talk a lot about habits to build… Morning routines. Better systems. Healthy rhythms. More discipline. But what if your next breakthrough comes from what you STOP instead? In this episode, I’m sharing 8 habits I’m personally working to break in this season — not because they’re dramatic or “bad,” but because they were quietly costing me peace, clarity, energy, and focus. We’re talking about: • negative self-talk • mindless social media scrolling • checking email too late • constantly “treating” ourselves • over-processing conversations • relying only on devotional books • gossip disguised as concern • picking up after everyone else This episode is honest, practical, reflective, and full of permission to let go of what no longer serves you. Ask Yourself: • What habit am I excusing because it feels “small”? • Where am I unintentionally draining my peace? • What would feel lighter if I stopped doing it? • What habit am I ready to break in this season? Mentioned In This Episode: • 2 Corinthians 10:5 • Bible Recap • Encourager Amazon Favorites I’d love to connect with you outside the podcast too. You Don’t Have to Chase Joy

What if joy isn’t something you have to chase? In this deeply personal episode, I’m sharing a live talk I recently gave at a women’s conference about the difference between joy and happiness. From walking through family heartbreak and grief to learning how to abide with Jesus in hard seasons, this episode explores what Scripture actually says about joy — and why joy can exist even before circumstances change. Together, we walk through powerful passages including John 15, Galatians 5, Acts 16, and Habakkuk 3 while asking honest reflection questions like: • What’s stealing your joy? • Where are you chasing happiness instead of abiding with Jesus? • What would it look like to choose joy before your situation changes? If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or spiritually disconnected, this episode will remind you that joy is not something you have to manufacture. It’s already available through abiding with Jesus. In this episode: • The difference between happiness and biblical joy • Why striving and chaos steal peace • The “green banana” analogy for spiritual growth • How Paul and Silas modeled joy in suffering • What Habakkuk teaches us about rejoicing in hardship • Reflection questions to help you reclaim joy • Practical ways to choose connection over productivity Reflection Questions from the Episode: What’s stealing your joy?How do you tend to chase happiness? How is God inviting you into joy?Finish this sentence: “Even if _______, I will choose joy by _______."Scriptures Mentioned:  John 15:11 Galatians 5:22 Acts 16:25 Habakkuk 3:17–18Links Mentioned:  Encourager Coaching: https://www.encouragerpodcast.com/new-coaching-sales-page-1 I’d love to connect with you outside the podcast too. The 10-Minute Summer Reset (When Everything Feels Like a Dumpster Fire)

If your summer feels messy, behind, or completely off track… you are not alone. In this episode, I’m sharing a simple but powerful truth: you don’t need to restart—you just need to reset. Because most of us don’t need a new plan… we need a faster way to come back when things fall apart. This 10-minute reset is designed for real life—your busy, chaotic, summer-life reality. It’s not about fixing everything. It’s about interrupting the overwhelm and moving forward with clarity. Inside this episode, I walk you through my exact reset process: Brain dump to clear mental clutterChoosing your top 1–3 prioritiesGrounding yourself in prayerUsing the 1% rule to move forwardKnowing when to pause instead of pushReevaluating your summer “one thing”Asking for help using simple clarity questionsThis is your permission slip to stop starting over… and start resetting. Key Takeaway: You don’t need a better plan—you need a faster way to come back when life pulls you off track. If you feel like you’re constantly resetting but never gaining traction, that’s exactly what we work through in coaching. Together, we build systems that actually hold up in your real life—even in the middle of summer. Ready for more clarity and less overwhelm? Your Summer, Simplified: 4 Anchors That Change Everything

If your summer feels a little off, a little chaotic, or just different than your normal rhythm…you’re not doing it wrong. Summer is a different season, and it’s supposed to feel different. But here’s the tension: we don’t want to over-plan our summer, and we definitely don’t want to under-plan it either. That’s where these 4 simple anchors come in. In this episode, I’m sharing the exact framework I use every summer to stay grounded without overcomplicating anything. These anchors help you come back to what matters when things feel scattered, overstimulating, or even just a little boring. We’re talking about: • One Goal: What would make this summer feel meaningful if it stayed consistent or got completed? • One Let Go: What are you releasing so you don’t carry everything into this season? • One Consistent Habit: The small thing that keeps you grounded no matter what • One Prayer: Your go-to when you feel overwhelmed, irritated, or unsure. This isn’t about perfection. It’s about intention. You can write these anchors down, put them on your fridge, save them in your phone, or share them with a friend. And when summer starts to feel like too much (or not enough), you come back to these four things. If even choosing these feels overwhelming, that’s exactly where coaching comes in. I help you simplify your systems so you know exactly what to focus on in your current season. Next Steps: • Write down your 4 anchors today (or just start with 1–2) • Share them with someone who can encourage you • Revisit them when things feel off Your Summer, Simplified: 4 Anchors That Change Everything I’d love to connect with you outside the podcast too. So we try to do everything… …and end up finishing nothing. The End of Season Interview: Don’t Move On Too Fast

We often celebrate the end of a season, but we don’t always stop to learn from it. In this episode, I’m sharing a simple practice I use with my family and in my own life: the End of Season Interview. Whether you just wrapped up a sports season, school year, launch, harvest, holiday rush, or a particularly full stretch of life, this episode will help you pause and ask the right questions before moving on. Instead of rushing into the next thing, I want to help you reflect on what worked, what felt hard, what surprised you, what needs to change, and what you want to remember. These are simple questions, but they can lead to a whole lot of wisdom. In this episode, I cover: why reflection matters at the end of a busy seasonhow to use an end of season interview with your family, team, or just yourselfthe 5 questions to ask before moving into what’s nextwhy small changes work better than total overhaulshow remembering what God did in a season helps build gratitude and wisdomThe 5 questions: What went really well this season? What felt harder than it should have? What surprised us this season? What do we want to do differently next time? What do we want to remember about this season? This is a simple but powerful rhythm that helps you stop repeating what drained you, hold onto what mattered, and move into the next season with more intention. 9 Things That Are Working In This Season

What’s Working Right Now Every once in a while, I like to stop and ask myself a different kind of question. Not just, “What system is broken?” But, “What’s actually working right now?” In this episode, I’m sharing 9 things that are helping me in this season: 3 concepts, 3 products, and 3 methods. These are the things grounding me, reducing overwhelm, and helping me stay steady in the middle of full home and work life. Some of them are spiritual, some practical, and some are simply little shifts that are making a big difference. In this episode, I talk about: • the prayer I come back to when I don’t know what to do • why praise can be a powerful response to worry • the 1% and 80% rule that keeps me moving • tools and resources I’m genuinely loving right now • three practical methods that are helping me feel less overwhelmed A few highlights from this episode: • “I don’t know what to do, Lord, but my eyes are on You.” • praise instead of worry • 1% effort to get started • 80% effort to avoid perfection paralysis • brain dumps • reverse engineering • my weekly agenda system Mentioned in this episode: • One-on-one coaching through The Encourager • The Bible Recap-  • Weekly Agenda free resource- Click here! • X39 lifewave patch- http://lifewave.com/encourager? • Brain dump method • Reverse engineering method This episode is your reminder that progress does not always come from reinventing everything. Sometimes it comes from noticing what is already helping and leaning into it with intention. LINKS AND RESOURCES MENTIONED I’d love to connect with you outside the podcast too.
