This is a revised review. POD used to be quite good. Has suffered. Spanners is useless on his own, and increasingly is irritating in group with his infantile commentary. Clown in the background. Trumpets is Mr Condescension, also irritating as his true knowledge base is much more limited than he admits. Other members of the “group” are tolerable to enjoyable, with the exception of the tic tok idiots. I used to really enjoy this pod, but would now recommend to F1 newbies only. With the exception of Joe Saward, who is the crusty master, and my only good reason to continue here. And is more gone!

I’ve tried to give this show a fair shake, but Matt Trumpets is single-handedly dragging it down. Every episode turns into a performance where he plays the contrarian just to sound clever—he’ll contradict panel members on the most trivial points, then smugly “well-actually” them into the ground. His voice itself is grating: a nasal, faux-authoritative cadence that makes every sentence feel like a lecture you didn’t sign up for. Worst of all, he nit-picks microscopic details that have zero bearing on the topic, derailing conversations so he can flash his trivia-badge. Instead of adding insight, he’s become a speed-bump the host has to swerve around every ten minutes. The podcast would be twice as listenable if he simply stopped showing up.

But trust me they are pretty pathetic and fuc...reaking stupid. They think the new rigs are not bad!!!! Are you kidding me, no one knows who has what battery power and when they are deploying and when not. This is complete S... show, absolute joke
