Imagine being wrongfully convicted for a crime you didn’t commit, or imagine your child's killer is still on the loose even though there’s enough evidence for an arrest. I want to help shine light on the injustices of our judicial system. I delve into court documents, attend trials, and interview those close to the case to help me tell their stories.

Please please please stop just reading

Well-researched content, but host needs to also do research on so many other podcasters who also follow a script, yet never appear to be reading. Host should try to speak to listeners in a conversational manner, also inserting comments and opinions. Maybe a co-host would help.

Interesting if mispronounced

These are mostly pretty famous cases, but she covers the court process and sometimes includes audio from 911 calls, interviews, and statements made in court, as well as occasionally interviewing family members.

The only thing that drives me nuts is that she can’t pronounce common words. She says “jewlery” and “fermiliar” frequently, and in the episode I’m on now she keeps using the word “exasperated” instead of the word she means, “exacerbated.”

HOOKED!!

I have tried listening to numerous other crime podcasts and always ended up annoyed with the formats and/or hosts, Their flat monotone and horrible scripted narratives. They all felt like they were reading a time line.... within 2 minutes, i immediately lost interest. Then i came across Court Junkie and after the first 5 minutes.... I WAS HOOKED!! I listened to 3 episodes back to back to back. Jillian’s narrative voice has you wanting to continue listening to her podcast. The cases are well researched and the added audio trial transcripts and family interviews brings the case to life. I have become a paid Patron! I look forward to binge listening!!!
