Pan-Political is a podcast exploring what the next wave of the gender equality movement should look like. It brings compassion to the issues faced by people of all genders. Instead of simply reacting to gender-related problems after they arise, we're asking a much bolder question: what is causing these problems in the first place, and how can we prevent them entirely? The podcast envisions a world where no one is judged or limited by their gender — a world free from sexism, gendered violence, and avoidable gendered patterns.     Introducing Pan-Political: What Will Be Needed in the Next Gender Movement

    Welcome to Pan-Political — a podcast exploring what the next wave of the gender equality movement needs to consider. In this opening episode, I explain the vision behind Pan-Political: a world where no one is judged or limited by their gender, where everyone has genuine equality of opportunity, and where we move beyond sexism, gendered violence, and unnecessary gendered patterns. I contrast the current mainstream approaches to gender issues with a pan-political lens — one that cares deeply about the realities faced by all genders, rather than focusing primarily on one. I use an example that shows that our current understandable but reactionary approaches may actually be making things worse. I also introduce the term “pan-political”, explain what it means, and share a little about my own background and why I’ve decided to dedicate this next chapter to these ideas.
