The Simple 3-Step System to Solve Almost Any Problem | Ed Mylett

Problems need energy to live. Stop feeding yours. You guys, I've gotten so many messages asking me to cover this, and I get it, because I still work on this myself. Today I'm handing you the exact system I use, the one I teach my athletes, my entertainers, and my politician clients, to eliminate most of the problems in your life before they ever get the chance to grow. And I didn't want to just teach it. I wanted to show you it in action, so I pulled some of the most powerful moments from my archives: Tony Robbins on why fear is physical, a world champion barrel racer's comeback from a 2% chance to live, Dean Graziosi's hardest six months, and Amy Purdy's fight to walk again. Here's what you'll gain from this episode: The 3 step formula: Make a decision, flood yourself with certainty, and take insane action. This alone will crush most of your problems. The 90/10 rule: Why pouring your energy into the problem instead of the solution is the single biggest mistake most people make. Fear is physical: Tony Robbins breaks down why your breathing, your posture, and your body are running your emotional state, and how to take it back. The comeback formula: A world champion barrel racer's story of being told she'd never walk again, and what she did with that news. The lock came off the box: Dean Graziosi's most vulnerable story yet, and the one decision that changed everything on the other side of it. I've said it before and I'll say it again: you're always going to have problems. That's not a flaw in your life, it's proof you're growing. So take this system, put it to work today, and watch how much lighter you feel. Max out. See how K12 Powered Schools can help unlock your child’s full potential! John Maxwell's #10 Law of Leadership: The Law of Connection

📥 CLICK HERE to Download the free Leadership Workbook and submit your question for our Q&A with John and me.   People don't follow you because of what you know. They follow you because they feel like you actually see them. Welcome back to our series on John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. Law #10 is the Law of Connection, and it might be the most important one yet: leaders touch a heart before they ever ask for a hand. In this episode, John breaks down why so many leaders want loyalty without ever building the relationship that earns it, and I bring it home with what connection actually looks like when you're leading your team, your family, or yourself. Here's what you'll gain from this episode: Understand the Real Root of Resistance: Learn why most pushback from your people isn't really about direction, but disconnection, and what to do about it. The Locomotive Principle: John's unforgettable story about trains, and why hitting people with your vision is not the same as connecting with them. Know Yourself Before You Try to Know Anyone Else: Discover why leaders who haven't connected with themselves internally will never connect with anyone externally. The Nine Ways to Connect: John's practical, step by step list for building real relational trust with the people you lead. The Herb Kelleher Story: A classic example of the Law of Connection in action, and what 16,000 employees said about the leader who made every one of them feel known. I've led enough people to know that the ones who stay with you aren't staying for your strategy. They're staying because you saw them first. This one will change how you walk into every room you lead. From Childhood Best Friends to Top of their Fields with Greg Genske

Before you have a business or a following, you have a friend. Mine grew up to negotiate six billion dollars in sports contracts. This episode is different for me. My guest was my best friend when we were ten years old, inseparable, running track together at six in the morning, trading baseball cards, growing up right alongside each other. Then life happened, and thirty five years went by without us being in the same room. After all that time, we finally sat down together, and today I brought him on the show. Greg Genske went from that kid in my backyard to one of the top sports agents alive, building an agency with Gary Vaynerchuk, teaching negotiation at Berkeley Law, and representing thousands of professional athletes through the biggest deals of their careers.  Here's what you'll gain from this episode: The Negotiation Secret Nobody Teaches: Greg breaks down the psychology of negotiation and why immaculate preparation on the other person's position beats any tactic. The Tom Brady Story You've Never Heard: How a single deposition Greg took as a trial lawyer helped open the door for the greatest quarterback in history. Position Yourself as the Expert: Why the people who separate themselves in any industry teach instead of sell. Elimination, Not Addition: Greg's decision to give up alcohol after nine years of winning in spite of it, and what he found on the other side. What 3,000 Athletes Taught Him About Loyalty: The difference between being an agent and being a real partner.   If you've got a friend from your childhood you've lost touch with, this one is your sign to reach out today. Some relationships are worth thirty five years of silence and still worth fighting for. Shopify: The best businesses aren’t built in boardrooms. They’re built by people who just started. How to STOP People Pleasing Yourself Right Out of Your Own Life

Your cup is empty, and you've been calling it love. I get a version of this question all the time: who's supposed to be the number one priority in your life? And this week I gave you an answer most of you don't want to hear. Because the version of people-pleasing nobody warns you about isn't the one where you're afraid to say no to a stranger. It's the one where you've spent years putting everyone you love ahead of yourself, until there's nothing left in the cup to pour. This one's built around some of the conversations that shaped how I think about this, with Tony Robbins, Jay Shetty, and Rob Dyrdek. Not soundbites. Real, lived-in wisdom from three guys who've actually done the work on themselves. Here's what you'll gain from this episode: The stake in the ground: Why you keep telling yourself you can't move, even when you could walk away in a second. Tony's rock bottom story: What he did the night he had nothing left, and how it rewired the rest of his life. The three date rule: A simple set of questions Jay Shetty says can reconnect you with someone you think you already know completely. The million hour mindset: How Rob Dyrdek thinks about time that makes every single day feel different. Your own worst enemy: Why the way you talk to yourself is training the universe how to treat you, and the one phrase that flips it. Time is not unlimited, and neither is your patience with yourself. You have been the last person on your own list for too long. Fill your cup first. Not because it's selfish. Because it's the only way you have anything left to give the people you love. John Maxwell's #9 Law of Leadership: The Law of Magentism

📥 CLICK HERE to Download the free Leadership Workbook and submit your question for our Q&A with John and me.   If you're not happy with the people around you, the most important question you can ask is not "why do I keep attracting this?" It's "what about me is drawing it in?" Law #9 of John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership is the Law of Magnetism, and it is one of the most confronting laws in this entire series. The principle is simple: who you are is who you attract. Leaders don't attract who they want. They attract who they are. Your values, your energy, your standards, your character — all of it creates a magnet that pulls toward you the people who reflect it back. John opens this episode with an exercise that will stop you cold. He asks you to write down the three qualities you most want in the people around you. And then he asks the only question that matters: do you actually possess those qualities yourself? I connect this law to something I've written about in both Max Out Your Life and The Power of One More: your internal thermostat. Most people are running their teams, their businesses, and their lives at whatever temperature they believe they deserve. And when results start to exceed that setting, they subconsciously cool things back down. This law is about raising that thermostat because when you raise your own standard, the quality of people who stay in your world begins to change too. Here's what you'll gain from this episode: The Mirror Exercise: John's opening exercise that forces you to look honestly at what you're actually bringing before you make another hire or point the finger at your team. The Six Areas of Magnetism: The specific dimensions where like attracts like, and how to use each one to understand exactly what your leadership is currently pulling in. Your Life Is Recruiting: Why your leadership is drawing something toward you right now whether you realize it or not, and the one question that changes everything. The Identity Thermostat: My framework for understanding why most leaders keep attracting the same people at the same level, and what it takes to permanently raise the standard. High Standard Attracts High Standard: The practical rep this week: evaluate your team, your inner circle, and your culture at home, and ask honestly what your leadership has been modeling. This is one of those laws that stays with you long after the episode ends. The people you are surrounded by right now are telling you something. The question is whether you're willing to hear it. Go watch this episode and then do the exercise John walks you through. I promise it will reveal something worth knowing. This series releases every Thursday and each law builds on the last. John Morgan: Life is Luck

He started with a paper route. Now he runs America's largest personal injury law firm, spends $600 million a year on advertising, and owns OJ Simpson's Bronco. John Morgan doesn't just understand luck. He's spent his entire life engineering it. John is the founder and chairman of Morgan & Morgan, the firm that has recovered more than $30 billion for its clients and built one of the most recognizable brands in the country. This interview is a masterclass in how the most successful people in the world create conditions for things to go right, and what most people get completely wrong about the role of chance in their success. John brings one of the most unfiltered, fearless, and genuinely wise business minds I've ever sat across from. He breaks down the three types of luck and why two of them are entirely in your control. He talks about moonshots and bullets, about what the stagecoach companies got wrong about the train, and about why the best stock market you'll ever invest in is the one you're building yourself. He also gives a jaw-dropping answer about whether all of this is worth it. Here's what you'll gain from this episode: The Three Types of Luck: And why you'll never look at someone's "lucky break" the same way again. Bullets Before Bombs: The framework John uses to decide when to go all in and when to stay patient, and why most businesses fail before they ever get there. The Best Stock Market You'll Ever Invest In: This the most profound thing said in nearly 900 episodes. You'll understand why when you hear it. You Can't Teach Hungry: The one trait that separates the people who make it from everyone else, and how to spot it in minutes. The Stagecoach and the Train: An urgent warning for every business owner right now, and what to do about it. I push John on things people are afraid to ask someone of his stature: whether entrepreneurs are born or made, how AI is actually hitting his businesses right now, and what he thinks about the hunger you either have or you don't. John Morgan is the real deal. Go get his book Life is Luck and go listen to this episode. I think it's one of the most in-depth conversations I've had on this show in a long time. The Hard Truth: Why Your Hardest Days Create Your Greatest Success | Ed Mylett

What if the hardest season of your life is actually building the strongest version of you? In this mashup episode, I’m bringing together some of the most powerful conversations I’ve had about adversity, resilience, purpose, and what it really takes to keep going when life hurts. I believe one of the greatest separators in life is the ability to play hurt. Anybody can perform when they feel great, when the momentum is there, and when everything is going their way. The real test is what you do when you’re tired, disappointed, grieving, afraid, or unsure of yourself. Those are the moments that reveal who you are becoming. Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins shares how adversity became one of his greatest teachers and how going inward forced him to confront the parts of himself that success alone could never fix. Eric Thomas breaks down the level of work, discipline, and self-evaluation required if you truly want extraordinary results, and why sometimes the answer isn’t simply working harder, but raising your systems, your standards, and your entire level of execution. James Lawrence gives one of the most powerful examples of the One More mindset when he explains why, after completing 100 brutal endurance challenges, he got back up and did 101. Not because he had anything left to prove, but because he wanted people to know that even when you feel completely broken, there is still one more inside you. Dean Graziosi and I talk about changing your relationship with fear, pain, and hard things. The people who win at the highest levels don’t spend their lives searching for the easiest path. They train themselves to move toward the difficult things that other people avoid. Jim Kwik reminds us that attention is everything and that one of the fastest ways to grow is to learn with the intention of teaching, because when you teach something, you begin to own it at a completely different level. And Maria Shriver offers the other side of resilience that we don’t talk about enough. She reminds us about the power of the pause, reflection, and understanding that a meaningful life is not only about doing more, but also knowing when to slow down long enough to understand who you are becoming. I want you to understand something about the pain you’re going through right now. It does not have to be wasted. Your hardest season can become your greatest testimony, your deepest pain can become the thing that qualifies you to help somebody else, and your breaking point can become your building point. You don’t have to have your A-game every day. You just have to stay available, stay in the fight, and keep moving. Sometimes winning looks like one more call, one more meeting, one more workout, one more prayer, or simply getting up one more time. Key Takeaways: Why the ability to “play hurt” separates extraordinary people from everyone else Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins on turning adversity into purpose and becoming more self-aware Eric Thomas on matching your expectations with the level of work and systems required to achieve them James Lawrence on why doing “one more” matters most when you feel completely depleted Dean Graziosi on training yourself to move toward fear, pain, and difficult challenges Jim Kwik on improving attention and why teaching what you learn helps you own it Maria Shriver on the power of pausing, reflecting, and finding richness beyond constant achievement Why your pain can become the very thing that prepares you for your next level Your hardest days are not disqualifying you. They may be preparing you. So when life knocks you down, don’t automatically assume it’s time to retreat. Sometimes that pain is your opportunity to discover a level of strength, faith, and resilience you never would have found any other way. Get up, stay available, and do one more. 👉 SUBSCRIBE TO ED'S YOUTUBE CHANNEL NOW 👈   → → → CONNECT WITH ED MYLETT ON SOCIAL MEDIA: ← ← ←  ➡️ INSTAGRAM   ➡️FACEBOOK   ➡️ LINKEDIN   ➡️ X   ➡️ WEBSITE  Learn more about your ad choices. Great leaders have already moved on what most people haven't named yet. Welcome back. Season 2 of our series on John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership starts here with Law #8: the Law of Intuition. John teaches it simply: leaders evaluate everything with a leadership bias. In other words, great leaders don't just see what's happening. They sense what it means, where it's going, and what needs to happen before anyone else has said it out loud. This episode is going to teach you how learning to listen to your intuition is all you need to beat the fastest person on earth in a race. And it's exactly what will help you become a phenomenal leader. I also dive deep into the power of stillness. Getting quiet gives you access to things you didn't even know you needed. Great leaders live beneath the surface. They develop the ability to sense sooner, think deeper, and respond wiser. Here's what you'll gain from this episode: The Leadership Jumpstart: Why intuition gives great leaders an unfair advantage before anyone else has even started moving. Leaders Are Readers: The eight things great leaders read that most people walk right past, and why developing this skill is the most practical way to sharpen your intuition starting today. You're Already Intuitive: You are already highly intuitive in one area of your life, you'll learn how to find it and lead from it. Sense Sooner. Think Deeper. Respond Wiser: How to apply the Law of Intuition in real time, and five specific practices to start developing your discernment this week. What to Do If This Isn't Your Strength: Maxwell's honest answer for leaders who struggle with intuition, and the two practical steps he gives to develop it even if it doesn't come naturally.
