Hey, Guys! Love the show. Listened to today’s (12/26) episode, and while there’s a lot in there I agree with, I think you’re over-complicating it a bit. The truth is that all roads lead to LeBron: 1. He is no longer a $50M player, so having him at that salary makes constructing a balanced and deep roster filled with 2-way players much more difficult; (2) in a league trending toward speed and athleticism, he just can’t keep up; (3) the team continues to take its cues from him, so when he takes portions of games off or lacks engagement, that rubs off on the team; (4) his difficulty in accepting that he’s no longer #1 has affected his ability to work with Luka; (5) he is no longer able to carry a team; and (6) his stature and the politics are such that JJ can’t treat him as he would others whose play sucks. Instead, we are talking about Rui, DA, Jake and others. Sorry, the root cause is Lebron as it relates to players. Thoughts?
