I’m Emem, your future friend and a passionate Jesus lover. About fifteen years ago, I went through the most tormenting season of my life — I could not sleep. Night after night my mind raced. I was anxious and terrified. Nothing I tried worked — not teas, not medicine, not routines, not forcing myself to ‘just relax.’ I felt helpless, hopeless, exhausted, and honestly… I felt like I was going crazy. Through the help of the Holy Spirit, I finally realized that peace had already been given to me — and the enemy had stolen it. I learned how to stand in my spiritual authority and take my peace back. With the truth of God’s Word and the authority He gave me, I went from hopeless, afraid, and mentally exhausted to restored in peace, anchored in joy, renewed in my mind, and sleeping sweetly.     143 | Sleep Deprivation Isn’t Random — Close These Doors Tonight and Finally Sleep in Peace

    Have you ever felt like you’re doing everything right—praying, seeking God, trying to relax—but there’s still a heaviness you can’t shake? In this episode, I’m sharing a part of my story I don’t often revisit. There was a time when I allowed things into my life that seemed harmless on the surface, but they created a level of unrest I couldn’t explain. My peace was disrupted. My sleep was affected. And I didn’t immediately connect the two. If you’ve been dealing with exhaustion or ongoing sleep deprivation, and your nights don’t feel as peaceful as they should, this might help you see things differently. Sometimes we look for a sleep meditation or something quick to help us rest—but there are moments when the root goes deeper than that. We’ll walk through what it means to pay attention to what you’re allowing in, how it affects your mind and your environment, and why that matters more than you think. I’ll also guide you through how to recognize what needs to be released, how to come out of agreement with it, and how to return to a place of clarity and peace.
