When it’s just Tarence and Tom this show is not very good. Otherwise the show is very good. I’ll explain.
In the Tarence & Tom episodes it’s like listening to two people trying to fill time, for the sake of releasing content regularly. In these episodes it’s not uncommon for Tarence to do like 50 voice impressions, none of which add any value.
Any episodes that include Aaron are not just alright, they’re great. This isn’t because he’s just that superior (though he’s great), it’s because his presence changes the whole dynamic: it becomes focused, funny, politically sharp, and in this format Tarence doesn’t seem to feel pressured to do his voice impressions. These Aaron episodes are like listening to great political discourse amongst friends who are genuinely having a good time rather than trying to fill dead air with impressions or forced laughter. If Aaron could be on every episode it would bring the show to a higher level of consistent quality, and I would prefer that even if that would mean just one episode a month
