    Team Canada Head Coach Kori Cheverie: Leading her country, Walter Cup lessons, and instilling defensive details

As one of the top female coaches in all of hockey, Cheverie has served as head coach of the PWHL's Montréal Victoire for all three seasons of the league's existence, winning the Walter Cup last season and earning PWHL Coach of the Year honours in 2024-25 after guiding the Victoire to first place in the regular-season standings. Just two weeks ago, it was announced that Cheverie will be the Head Coach of Team Canada for the upcoming Women's World Championship, taking place November 6-16 in Denmark. She has represented Canada internationally on several occasions, winning gold medals as an assistant coach at the IIHF Women's World Championship in 2021, 2022 and 2024, in addition to the 2022 Olympic Winter Games, and silver medals at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games and the Women's Worlds in 2023 and 2025.     Edmonton Oilers Head Coach Mike Babcock: D-zone rules, implementing team structure, and taking out the fluff

While Babcock is one of the most polarising figures in the game, he's also one of the most accomplished coaches in hockey history. He is currently the only coach in the Triple Gold Club, having won a Stanley Cup, Olympic gold, and a World Championship gold. Babcock made his NHL debut behind the bench of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in 2002 and took the team to the Stanley Cup Final in his first season. In 2005, he joined the Detroit Red Wings, where over 10 seasons he won the Stanley Cup in 2008. He later coached the Toronto Maple Leafs from 2015 to 2019, helping rebuild the franchise around a young core. Gulutzan is the Head Coach of the Dallas Stars, and in his second tour of duty with the organization. He's previously been the Head Coach of the Calgary Flames and also spent time as an assistant coach in Vancouver and Edmonton. Overall, he's enjoyed a remarkable career, especially considering that he got his start in coaching as a player assistant with the Fresno Falcons of the now defunct West Coast Hockey League. The focus of the talk was on practice design, but he also offers some amazing stories and lessons he's collected over his career.     Medicine Hat Tigers Head Coach Willie Desjardins: Instilling confidence, creating a winning culture and developing offensive dmen

A native of Climax, Saskatchewan, Desjardins began his coaching career at the University of Calgary under George Kingston before eventually taking over as head coach of the program. After a decade behind the bench in Calgary, he headed overseas to coach in Japan before returning to Alberta in 2002 to lead the Medicine Hat Tigers, quickly establishing the club as one of the WHL's premier programs. Desjardins later joined the Dallas Stars organization as an assistant coach and went on to guide their AHL affiliate, the Texas Stars, to a Calder Cup championship. From 2014 to 2017, he served as Head Coach of the Vancouver Canucks and also spent the 2018-19 season behind the bench of the Los Angeles Kings. Internationally, Desjardins has represented Canada at nearly every major tournament, building a resume that spans the highest levels of junior, professional, and international hockey.
