    Torquay United should have a new manager in place very soon - in fact, possibly before you click on the link to listen to this week's podcast. So those of you in the know - we weren't when we recorded this week's offering. We speculate of course, with a list of names, but we also listen to Neil Warnock talk about the last two games and Saturday's home game against Chesham United - and what any new manager has to do... It was a good performance by a Gulls team low on confidence on Tuesday night when they beat Salisbury 2-1 - after that disappointing 3-0 defeat at Ebbsfleet United. And, with the injury crisis of all injury crises right now - it was a great win to see Neil off with.     Torquay United Yellow Army Podcast 05-03-2026: Wotton Out, Warnock In

    What a week that was! Since the last Yellow Army Podcast Torquay United have been beaten 5-0 at home by Chelmsford and have lost a manager. So a lot to discuss then for Richard Hughes, Guy Henderson, David Thomas and Clive Hayward. With Paul Wotton losing his job on Sunday, the quartet reflect on a tumultuous couple of days that saw Neil Warnock come in to take charge of the team for the game against Farnborough on Tuesday. That ended 2-2 but there wasn't much of an improvement in the players' performance - and we hear what the interim manager had to say about that, and the forthcoming game against Ebbsfleet United on Saturday. Once again, the podders are in the old boardroom and the fridges are loud - but that just adds to the buzz that is already about Plainmoor these days.     Torquay United Yellow Army 26-02-26: Not All Sunshine And Rainbows

    Torquay United manager Paul Wotton said it in his press conference - "It's not all sunshine and rainbows" right now, after the Gulls have picked up just one point from four games. The 3-1 defeat at Worthing was the latest kick in the teeth. But with eight of the remaining 13 games left, Torquay can still do better this season and the promotion race is not over yet. Dorking Wanderers may lead the way by nine points, but - with Chelmsford City visiting this Saturday - the Gulls are certainly not out of it yet. Richard Hughes returns to join Guy Henderson and David Thomas in the old boardroom where the fridge was as loud as the wind against the window.     Torquay United and their long-suffering fans face nearly 900 miles on the road in the coming days. A trip to bottom club Eastbourne Borough on Saturday is swiftly followed by a journey to fellow promotion contenders Worthing on Tuesday night. Players, management, fans and podcasters will have plenty of time on the road to mull over the events on and off the pitch at Plainmoor. This week’s Yellow Army podcast casts an eye back over the 1-1 draw at home to Maidenhead, that penalty decision and what looked like a nasty injury to leading scorer Jordan Young.     Loan players dominate the agenda on the Yellow Army Podcast this week as we run the rule over Tuesday night’s ‘bump in the road’ and look ahead to a big day at Plainmoor on Saturday. Torquay United’s seven-match unbeaten run came to an end with a 1-0 defeat at Chippenham Town - a late goal handing the hosts all three points from a game which Torquay dominated. Maidenhead United are the visitors to Plainmoor on Saturday for what will be the first home match since January 17 if the rain holds off. Manager Paul Wotton mulls over Tuesday’s disappointment, and explains how a change in personnel brought better football after the break, but could not supply the goals the Gulls needed to win the game. There’s good news today as Exeter City loanee Kieran Wilson confirms that he will be staying until the end of the season, and we hear how young centre back Ed James - also on loan from the Grecians - can look forward to some game time. Joe Hatch - on loan from Plymouth Argyle - is doing his best to shake off a calf injury and there is news of three Gulls players who are active in the loan market themselves.     Torquay United Yellow Army Podcast 05-02-26: The Bus? It's Where We Live'

    It never rains, but it pours! For the first quarter of the season, Torquay United couldn’t buy an away win. Now it seems they can’t stop picking up the big points on the road. Tuesday’s 3-2 win at Dover made it nine points from three away games on the trot, hoisting the Gulls to the top of National League South, with second-placed Dorking Wanderers due to visit Plainmoor on Saturday. Excitement will be at fever pitch, if it ever stops raining. This week’s Yellow Army Podcast finds Gulls boss Paul Wotton in buoyant mood, albeit a little sleep-deprived after all those hours on the road. He fills us in on how United have managed to turn that away form around in such dramatic style, and looks forward to Saturday’s huge game.
